R/N Farming vs .... pretty much whatever

Since Hanego seems to really be gone for good, is there some way for one of the other regular contributors to be given control of the thread? Or would a new thread have to be started, cutting and pasting all the mini-guides and links?
The editted OP with the links to relevant information throughout the thread is very helpful and I would like to see it kept up, as this is one the most useful and fun discussions I've ever taken part in regarding GW.

WRL has refused to give me anything but scrolls, or even....exp! Stingy squid! lol Try casting life siphon on him while pulling him. Then run to the bridge where u stand just around the corner, so the spirit attacks and he himself cant hit you. From there just wait for the opportune moment and finish him off when the possibility is there, be sure to keep up dodge/zojuns to dodge missiles.
@ job ox, most of it is there already, but I fear the newer bosses will have to be added when nightfall comes online, perhaps we best make a second thread then. As of now, just keep contributing, if ppl are interested they will read the last few pages too.

Hey all farmers..
Read this thread and went curious on how I should be able to keep up with something like this so i had to try with my Edorina. Mostly because i really wanted Ghials Staff for my necro and heard from people that it should be so hard to farm.
Well, started out with capturing OoB and then buying some necroskills that i did not have. Started the run and god damn what i died (like 10 times in a row) at the start. Ive been running a lot with my Warrior and basicly its just the Droks run that i havnet bothered to learn, and i solo FoW-forest easy so my mood went lower and lower. But, I told myself.. can other do it then so can you.
Went on and after a while i got to Ghial w/o problem. You improve all the time and now the day after my start as toucher i go to Ghial w/o problem. Killed him 10 times or so but no staff so i thought, hey try Whispering instead. I tried both from Unwakening and Seafarer and for me the later is easist. I go to him in under a minute, lure him back and kill him
And more importantly, on the third death he dropped my first green as toucher *weee*
Well, except for a loooooong reply I most wanted to say THX !!! for this awesome thread....

About Jayne Forestlight:
This boss's only healing comes from reversal of fortune (said in an older post). This spell shouldn't work on vampiric skills because health stealing isn't damage. I only started to farm this boss recently but it looks as if RoF also reverses the vampiric bite/touch though. Still easy boss if you can pull him out.
I started farming the Whispering Ritual Lord as Touch Ranger and i thought that i invented the method myself. To my big surprise i found this post and huge thread
So i only reinvented the method. Anyway lot of very good info here that helped me a lot doing other bosses in.
I wanna give something in return. A skill that i often use in combination with throw dirt is serpent's quickness. At least for some bosses it is a good option. A normal TR does 65dps, with SQ this will be +/- 97dps for the duration of SQ. The good thing about this skills, not only does it fasten the recharge rate of vampiric touch/bite but also OoB gets a recharge boost. Where lightning reflexes causes you to deplete your energy faster, QS gives a higher and balanced life stealing time frame. With wilderness survival at 4 it lasts 19 secs enough for 3 OoB if timed right.

Wow, this thread is still going, a testament to the joy and financial security it has given it readers...
Zegorzalek, easy way to take out Brightclaw is to distract the spirit as he casts it, the self-heal spells he uses have zero effect if there is not a rit spirit in range to support them. You can kill him very quickly after you have distracted the spirit.

I havent taken my toucher to Elona, but have loved farming with it in Cntha- just wondering if anyone had had any luck in Elona with possible farming spots?
Evilsod
Well now you can simply clear a mob out then tell the hench to effectively take a hike afterwards pretty much any boss without stupidly high damage output or damage negation could be touch ranger farmed.

new farming technique, since nightfall release with the flagging system. Kill the mob around the boss, flag them away. Solo kill the boss.

Best way is to use the 'u' map...
Ivan Darklord
Henchman Affect the droprate but how? only when they are in the area or as long as they are in your party? Never figured that one...but I do know members in party affect droprates.

Mistical miss
yeah u can, having the extra energy comes in handy, but isn't required
bleux
so the "ancient" armor doesnt give as much energy as druids?
so what is its stats? because i cant seem to find them. all i know is u can put insignas on it

u can put + energy insignia's on it to give just as much + energy as druids armor
or u can put other insignia's on it...
or u can put other insignia's on it...
bleux
o thats cool
but i have other quest.
since druids has a "built-in" insignia, it can carry like runes.
but in ancient u have to put in insignia to make it like druids.. but can u still put a rune in it with energy insignia? cause then if u cant then druid has advantage?
sorry i dont know these little things.
thx. though for other help

Lethorn Maeran
With ancient armour, you can add an insignia and a rune. WHereas Druid's Armour, you can only add a rune, because, as you said, Druid's has a "built in"insignia. To get your energy up, add some radiant insignias.

he is entirely right there!

I suppose I am somewhat of a late bloomer with touching the bosses of Cantha for their drops. I started with the Whispering Ritual Lord and followed Evilsod's tips for farming this boss. Just wanted to give credit to Evilsod for his tips cause they worked like a charm. Leaving from Unwaking Waters and heading to the bridge makes it quick and pulling the boss to the top of the bridge is pretty easy. On my third try I got the drop (pretty lucky I guess
)
Just wanted to give a shoutout to Evilsod and all touchers in this forum for compiling the tips and tricks to farming Cantha.
Cheers

wow, this brings back memories....
I actually farmed up another vengeance seeker for a friend last week using this build and the thread resurfacing reminded me of the old days.

Mesmer in Need
i really want the rit lords staff. I just have to beat gyala with my ranger now.

Pjstaab
Anyone try any bosses in Proph or NF with this?
Porkchop Sandwhiches
Yeah I'm actually going to try a couple today, I'll post something if I find anything useful... I was kind of surprised that this thread hasn't been updated with NF bosses already.
Mistical miss
Bosses are cake nowadays, just kill the units with your party, send the hench and heroes away, distract any healing spells, throw dirt whirling defence, spam touches and voila... the massive ele damage from some bosses can be deadly though. Just watch out.
Porkchop Sandwhiches
Haha that is sad. Now you can drop run skills for anything and load up heros with other treats to help you. I gave a monk Peace and Harmony and am playing around with spirits now.

Not many things that i really want from NF though. Dwaynas Grace but so far only the Rit/Me build really works for her.
This thread seems a bit irrelevant now though. As Mistical said... all bosses can just have there mobs cleared out and you can just finish off the boss yourself. So unless the boss has a self heal, a stupidly high spell damage output or massive degen, it'll be easy.

Cheers I believe I quit killing rit lord after about 50 "counted" kills...most stingy boss EVER!
And yep, I have killed many NF bosses for their greens... use heroes to get there and clear off the mob, then stake them out of range and finish off the boss yourself. Works like a charm. (degen = bad ;] )

(degen = bad ;] ) Stingy... your not kidding. Personally i found Rajazan to be the stingiest boss on the planet. He's only ever dropped me 1 green, during the second weekend event. Thankgod Kunvie is severely underfarmed and Melandrus Arrows > Her.

Here is a link to some videos I made showing farming of various bosses in Cantha.
http://hosted.filefront.com/horoserp
The videos include a complete walkthrough of farming the following bosses:
Rahse Windcatcher
Xuekao The Deceptive
Warden Of Saprophytes
Reefclaw Ragebound
Quansong Spiritspeak
Lou Of The Knives
Lian Dragon Petal
Geoffer Pain Bringer
Cultist Milthuran
Craw Stonereep
Meril Stonereaver
Chkkr Brightclaw
Bzzyr Wingmender
Chkkr Locust Lord
Note: These were made in October 2006 and have not been updated. I know that there have been a lot of changes in regards to farming since, but to my knowledge as of three months ago, those changes affected Touch Farming very little. In addition, I had to figure some of these runs out with little to no information, so I may have made videos of the run that are NOT the easiest way to do them. Please keep this in mind when viewing them. I am sure there are easier ways to do some of these farms, but I also hope that I might have shown an easier way for at least a few of them. I am also aware that most of these bosses already have videos posted on them. However, I believe that I have been more thorough in demonstrating ALL the necessary information to effectively farm these bosses, and therefore, am going to post these videos.
I hope this proves helpful for somebody. I really wanted to post this because when I began Touch Farming, I was very frustrated with how little information was out there on how to farm the bosses (other than it was possible and that lots of people seem to get the green drop on their first attempt). This will hopefully show those who are interested how to farm a select few Canthan bosses.
Good luck to all and GO TOUCH FARMERS!
