New Titles: Charmed/Hapless

Well I suppose you are right. I guess the reason I'm disappointed is because I was going for Kind of a Big Deal, but I refuse to join all the afkers for these two titles. Seems like an easy way of getting it rather than actually accomplishing anything.

I think one or two goofy titles are fine, drunkard and lucky/unlucky are fun but that is enough sillyness. I dont want my title tab junked up with meaningless titles in the long run.

Well looks like it has tiers anyway so it might be more like the drunkard award, which is a good thing.

I don't see how charmed/hapless are any less worthwhile then any of the other grind-based titles. Ie: Chest-opening based titles, Item-Identifcation based titles. Charmed/hapless seem to be inline with the "grind standard" of most other titles, so in my view it doesn't make sense to bash them any more than it does to bash most other titles.
That said, it would be nice if the they added titles that actually took some skill to get, aside from the PVP ones.

its easy, buy a few stacks of tickets, leave on overnight with char on center square, rinse and repeat. i did that last night only and got home around noon and already 3/4 of the way too lvl 1

These two new titles are basically here for one reason - a money sink. They're using them to lower the amount of money in the economy, perhaps they didn't predict this much money being out, whatever.

The Charmed/Hapless titles have 5 levels, and I'm not sure how the math works out but I would guess that if you're looking for max in them you're spending WELL over what the other grind-based titles cost.

Even on Wiki, the Kind of a Big Deal is separated from Account-base and Character-based titles, more like a third category since it probably applies to both.
I don't have any account-based ones maxed yet as they take a while.
The best way to find out of course is to have someone with an account-based title maxed (a PvP'er I imagine) post whether it updated his KoaBD title or not. If so, then these titles should count as well.

I love the title, don't get me wrong, that's why my character is sitting around doing absolutely nothing for the next x hours. I will only get the first tier though, because those max levels are absurd and unobtainable. I just wish they had a more realistic max level.

I make more tickets making educated guesses based on pattern recognition. I was losing far more by just standing on the center. When there are to many unknown "X"s math doesn't mean jack.
Example: A.Net recognizes the basic mathmatical equation involved and stacks the odds to favor different spots in the randomization coding. i.e. slightly heavier on corners.
So unless you don't have time to spend a few hours. (Very understandable.) Just guess people.

I think the top left corner (or number 1) if ur facing towards Teilah is the most rewarding. Not the chances or anything.

For 5 tickets.. I won 11k and lost ~800 games. It really is NOT expensive to do this. The money requirement is so you can ride out bad streaks.

Anyway, I'm also only going for the first tier. Leave it on tonight, maybe throw in a few complete virus scans, and throw in a d/l of the high-def MGS4 trailer, and hopefully have the title and some spare tickets to get some presents. I love just random objects to add to larger trades. I remember collecting a bucket load of those flowers from Pre-searing and dangling them in front of Gwen's face. Now I use them in my trades which gets mixed reactions. I think presents might be more appreciated...

At first, I thought standing in the middle was a sure way to win, but even though I won more than I lost, I ran out of tickets very fast...so I decided to see how the corner would work out. I bought 250 tickets and stood in the corner and when I came back an hour later, I noticed that I had several stacks of tickets. Even though you may lose more statistically, you win more tickets. I looked at my screen once and some girl was complaining that the corner was unlucky, so she moved...The next four times that corner was selected 
maybe it's just me, but I've found the corner to be much more profitable, (you can work on both titles and still come out ahead, and you only need to spend a little on tickets).

Wow, I just can't win today. I'd buy 50 tickets yesterday and that would last me 1-2 hours of afking. Today I buy 250 and it's gone in minutes, every single time. Center, corner, or side, I lose way more than the 5 ticket average per 9 plays.

Is it more advantageous to put your chars on opposite circles?
What if you got your guild involved and each of you took a corner and center.
On average would you and your guildies be up or down collectively?
I'm curious as right now I have 2 computers playing in the same district on opposite corners.... and they're doing ok....
You may need to top up one from the other from time to time but it's going ok?

I think it's pretty obvious you can't. Having 1 player or n players playing at the sametime makes no difference because their odds of winning/losing are statistically indepedent

You forget the title goes by tickets won, not games won... therefore corners win 55+15+15+0+0+0+0+0+0=85 tickets every 9 rounds, and center wins 25+15+15+15+15+0+0+0+0=85 tickets every 9 rounds. Therefore the place you stand doesn't matter for lucky title, but it DOES matter for unlucky title, as while corner rings win the same amount of tickets, they ALSO lose MORE TIMES. Therefore for both titles corner is best. Now THAT is absolute.
