By nerfing farming spots, reducing drops, and removing UAS, ANET made this game to be about items and "loot" (faction is loot more or less, and can be farmed, see PANK)... because in betas, everyone had everything, did not bother about it but instead cared about player skills... |
...Huh? So, you're saying that people should work (farm) for their items? |
But what would they do with money? Nothing. Suddenly your amount of gold doesn't matter anymore. |

How sad is that? An economy that doesn't work, ala Diablo2. I WANT my money to have value, if there's too much of it around why have it in the first place?? |

Items can be outgrown. Your "skill" can be limited by it. They can also expand your "skill" by introducing new things. I never had a zealous or vampiric string. I never found one. But when I bought one, I found a lot of ways of how not to use it. |
Oh, I'm not really bent on gettings items. |
How do you get the gold to buy things? You "play" the game... Again. Sounds like farming to me. It's not quite as specific but it's still farming. |

Then why did u buy it?? |
Then why are you complaining?? |
It depends on what you call farming. 'Farming' sounds to me, according to the many threads about it here, meaning going to some spot that always drops a certain amount of valuable stuff and going there for X number of times. |
Farming is a form of hunting where a player kills monsters in the game for the money and items that the monster carries. Players who farm usually camp an area, kill monsters as they spawn, collect the loot, and later sell the items to others. |
Sounds like you're just too impatient and want it all now... |

This is not what I, and I think the majority of the gaming community, call "playing the game". You should be happy that the farming spots have been nerfed, because now you can get just the same amount of goodies by playing the game normally as you would if you would farm. Sounds like you're just too impatient and want it all now... |

Anet helps farming by totally nerfing the loot drops / skill aquisition. Do you really think i would farm if i had all the skills unlocked? But do you really think i would play this game for the 3rd time instead of farming gold (unided sup runes) and weapons ( more gold / weapon upgrades) and exp at the same time, and at a much faster pace? |
farming are people who want everything right now |

Dont expect m to stop soon with nerfing lol. Anyone played lineage 1? Drops in that game were so bad after NC Soft striked the nerfing bat , now ques wich company is also involved in guildwars P.S a good way to help gettin less farming since imo it wil be mostly for weapons now since runes can be unlocked , would be to add weapon traders by wich u could trade faction for weapons |

It's not the farmers, it's the game/developing company. If a game's economy isn't prepared to counter farming with inflation countermeasures, then it's the game's fault. |

Coz NC Soft is mostly korea based ( lineage 1 & 2 started in korea then hit the rest of the market)And since the games are Korean based they wil adjust to them 1st . |

ArenaNet - We have been very surprised by the speed at which new strategies rise and fall in PvP play. A collection of players and their professions and skills is often called a “build,” and most of our fansites have extensive build databases that record the success or failure of these builds. You will often see the term “FotM” in fan forums, which is short for “Flavor of the Month.” This refers to a build that is current “in” with the player community. However, the running joke is that it should be really be called “FotW” or even “FotD,” as counter-builds tend to emerge very rapidly. We are both surprised and pleased by this, because it means that we have achieved two of our primary objectives with skill design: deep, emergent strategic depth, and solid long-term play balance. |

New changes will improve our ability to identify and ban users of bots, rebalance mission areas that were highly exploited by bots, and reduce the overall effectiveness of bots, exploits, and other highly repetitive forms of gold and item farming. We are taking these steps to improve the game for all players, so that people using bots to farm gold cannot generate a huge influx of new gold into the economy, which increases prices for everyone and encourages other players to engage in repetitive farming just to keep up.

This isn't to say that every single update is going to delight each and every player. With any given update there is going to be a certain percentage of players who are not happy with the changes. For instance, some players were really into the whole process of farming for loot, and today they're concerned about the recent changes that made farming less profitable. But the game is undergoing an evolutionary process, and some of the concerns being expressed in the short-term will be addressed with planned alterations in the longer term. It may not be apparent where things are moving, but positive and satisfactory changes are in the works and will be incorporated into the game with the same care that we have shown with all the other updates. |
