More character slots are a must and increasing the lvl attainable by PVE characters.
But I think the new classes should merge with the existing in a symbiotic relationship so as not to knock the game balance to much.
Personally I think any classes like rogues, ninja and assassins would totally unbalance the game and to be honest who would take a thief or assassin in a co-op mission incase they killed or stole from party members.
Just my point of view

They have pretty much stated they will be adding slots (due to adding new professions) but I still would love to see # of slots = the number of professions myself.
Anet has been very good at not making one profession not counter balanced with something else. I can see some new professions own some jobs but see existing one beat them.
Agree with a "steal" function from a new job. But it's easy to limit, can only steal from red dots, not green.

I am thinking that they will sell basic expansions with no bonuses for 19.99 while a bit further on, a special edition will contain a few of those items unlockable via the original will be 29.99
I also think the bundled game and expansion will be AROUND 39.99-49.99 in which contains the original or special edition of the first game, while having the second chapter there when newcomers are ready to continue on with the story

Here are some class suggestions
http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?t=143088
I haven't had the chance to fully go over any of the classes listed here but this would be a good knowledge base to start from.
I'm not implying the ANet should take one of these, im just suggesting that there are some very good starting points, when it comes to ideas on new charactor classes.
I think they should have 4 new charactor slots with the second chapter. Because i remember paying $50 for the first chaper, and it had 4 charactor slots when i bought it.
I wonder if they had thought about other types of armor and things. You know, like rings, amulets...stuff that give extra buffs other than runes??
Like a ring that will increase attack rates, boots that make you walk faster...hell flying boots would rock
How about a ring of spell storage, so you dont have to use energy all the time?

With all casters in GW i think the should make a close up melee proff, like warrior or ranger but still differant

what I'M wondering, is how the new professions could alter the W/Mo types and basic dual profession builds..
they need to make sure that one new professions skills don't react with the 5 professions we have now, to make them insanely strong
i can see a possible druid class, which would be a mix of ranger and elementalist i think, but then you need to see how a druid/elementalist could synergize with eachother, if each has their own elemental buffs

I think something like a Sorcerer would be awesome, though Im not sure of what kind of spells they could come up with.
If you know anything about the difference between a mage/wizard/invoker/illusionist vs. a Sorcerer...it could be very interesting..but they would have to make the sorcerers spells slightly weaker than an elementalists or the sorcerer class would take over the world..lol. Due to the fact of what a Sorcerer truley is..it would be very fun to play and lets face it, Very Dominant, probably too dominant

Jeez, was that an interview or an advertisement? It felt like a salesman was slapping the game box in my face every time a new question was asked. And none of them were even answered... the functions of the game were just plugged over and over.
