The stupid things I've done thread
broodijzer
I thought I had beat ruins of surmia on my 1st char while I hadn't. I must have spent at least 2 weeks, 2 hours a day running around in post-ascalon doing quests..
baz777
Battled through half of Shiverpeaks with my monk, (and henches), to Cap SOJ. Killed boss only to then realise that I had forgot to equip a cap sig
Yanman.be
Sold my non-max crystalline sword to the merch accidentally ( Dropped from a chest outside ventari's refuge. Back in the days where chests were fixed, with no keys needed )
lg5000
farmed with my survivor rank 1 1/2... felt invincible and died... it was followed by a similar feeling whilst taking on a lvl11 guy in cantha while being a lvl4.. and dying..
Dark Interception
Buying the Scar Eater for 30k a few days before the green drop weekend
Slainster
when i first started playing, i got loads of dye drops in pre.. so many in fact that they were taking up "valuable" space in my backpack.. so i decided to merch the lot at a princely sum of 1g each... boy did i kick myself when I went to post ^^

Wow, I may not be able to count all the stupid things I've done, but I'll point out the best:
1. Aggro'd a group with my fire ele, hit them with firestrom (which makes them scatter), then hit them with meteor shower (no dmg since all were scattered by the firestorm).
2. Meteor Shower after all the targets were dead.
3. Dumped black dye out of my pack (when I first started) in pre because I thought "gee, then only sell at merch for 1g, how valuable can they be?"
4. Casting Heal Area with my monk in a boss battle (as I was standing next to the boss) and wondering "gee, why doesn't this guy just die already!"
5. Casting Blood of the Master with my Necro in Viz Square while there was another MM in my party, and two on the other side (40 minions in all) and wondering "gee, why did I die so quick".
6. Best of all, accidentally salvaging my 15^50 +5 eng gold jade sword for 40 iron ingots (that took a while to get over).

I bought a collector item, non max of course for 30k, see why I don't travel to LA much.
vergerefosh
Only realising what the friends list was and what it was for as i reached Gates of Kryta. After doing all quests and missions so was about 2 months in
stefan_moore
selling 100 candy canes for 100g instead of 100 plat that was pretty stupid
Eviance
Just the day before yesterday when my UW partner accidently agroed 3 coldfires I managed to agro not just the 3 in front of me when running away but ANOTHER 3... so 9 coldfires = death to us lol. oops -_- Good thing my UW partner lubs me XD
Not buying the 2 Scar Eaters for 2k each -_-
Not buying the 2 Scar Eaters for 2k each -_-
Blame the Monks
1. Found a Black Dye in presearing and sold it to a vendor.
2. Found a 14>50 sephis back last year and vendored it because I didn't know it was expensive
3. The first time I held halls I intended to click minimize the game and ... you guessed it, clicked the close program button.
4. At the beginning of one ladder season, I forgot to put attributes on my monk. My team was raging about how we lost 3 of our first 5 games before I noticed what I had done ;(

found out black dyes were 12k then
got my ele through pre ascolon, went into post ascolon, went outside, got my arse handed to me with 60 dp,(didnt know dp went away) and deleted my ele to make a war.
edit: on my ele i accidently brout firestorm and used it instead of ms in hells precipice...

God, everyone get ready to flame me
1. Buying Collectors Shield for 100k (OMFG!!!)
2. Buying 1 ecto (Which was actaully a mursaat token)
3. (Not really my fault) Getting my first black dye on my 7th month of playing
4. Quit the game for 1 month, because at Northern Wall, I didn't know there was a Mission button. I did all the quests so far, and was extremely bored ( DOH!)
5. Used 2 superior runes on my elementalist at level 10, and not realzing how much hp I had. Oh boy, was this horrible.
6. Thinking that PvP, when using balthazar faction, would give me the PvE item. Darn.
7. Did the mission THK, and wasn't infused
8. Nearly had a poopie in my pants when I saw that a Superior Salvage Kit was the same $ as a Droknar's Forge run from Beacon's Perch
9. Thought the game was stupid because there was no food or items that heal your hp
10. Tried selling Yakslapper for 50k (When it was 20k)
11. Buying 7 gold unid weapons, from Chinese Players... and getting crappy items (They probably checked it).
There's tons of other things I did that was just dumb, though I can't remember em all.

Stupid things?
PvP
1. Wrong Attributes/ 0 attributes. Eg. 16 Axe Mastery on a Sword warrior (This used to happen really often a while ago)
2. Goin' into a GvG match with a staff (only weapon with me) when I was a playing a warrior...
3. Killing own team with catapult
PvE
1. Running around in my brand new 15k Glads at Abaddon's Mouth, wondering why I was dieing so quickly to jades and mursaat. Turns out I forgot to get them infused.
2. Got a Sup.Absorbation RUne [back when they were like 90k] on a salvage item. Guess what? Used a standard salve kit and got 16 tanned hides from it.

* I'v deleted a PvP character with a sigil in the inventory... and off course that was almost 1 year ago, when sigils was worth a lot ç___ç
* Was playing Ritualist in GvG. All my team was bodyblocking the enemy near the door of theyr base, when we had a great idea, put down Shelter while we shoot with catapult, obviusly i used Union istead of Shelter and... gee gee
(won't post what my guildies was shouting in vent *lol*)
* Full naked warrior with Frenzy + Healsig under catapult shot... record at 8.000+ damage lololololol

The Missing Monk
1. At first I tried to solo quests because I didn't knew what to do with henchies
2. Most obvious selling Black Dye to merchant
3. Sold a perfect item while rapidly clicking on Sell @ merchant.
4. Wrong attributes in UW several times.
5. Clicked on Servants of Grenths (if thats the correct quest name) before the monk was in place

KANE OG
Bought Nightfall before I learned that they nerfed the crap outta me in the newest patch.
Tickle
I had been playing for a few weeks and got a purple crystalline drop, crappy mods on it, 13^50 + some other mods... Gave it to some random in my group cause it sucked...
*OH the pain*
Agroing everything with my warrior cause I thought I was invincible and screwing up an entire mission..
Running straight into the mursaat at Ice Caves, geez that hurt.
Probably some more really dumb things but alas live and learn.
If that random still has the crys can I have it back (another stupid thing to add *this last comment*)

Commander Ryker
There have been so many, let's see if I can remember.........
1. Forgetting cap sig
2. Going to cap an elite I already had. I've done that so many times that the last few times I did it, I didn't admit it. When asked if I got it, I would just say yes.
3. When my partner and I first started playing, we didn't understand how the mission worked. Got to the Great Northern Wall, got a party together and just walked outside. Went back in and realized what we were supposed to do.
4. Forgetting to set attributes on various toons to what I needed at the time.
5. Accidently salvaging/selling gold weapons.
There are so many others, but thankfully I can't remember them all.

I accidently put 50 ectos in the trash when I wanted to trash my halloween mask or something to make inventory space. I lagged and tried to cancel what I did but it was too late

I don't remember doing anything that I'd relly regret but here's some:
1. Equipped my Dunk and Talk with some greens and later deleted the character and byebye went the heroes and their greens.
2. Lost a Sup Vigor once and I still don't know where it went.
3. One of my stupidest things was runing all my monk's armor sets with runes put on random pieces of armor only to have to fix them all later with properly runing the right attributes to the right headgear etc.
4. I always forget to take a cap sig when going skill hunting. I also always forget to put on HM when going to do some HM.
5. I'm glad I'm not the only one to run all the way to Mineral Springs in Southern Shiverpeaks to cap only to realize I forgot to equip cap sig...
6. In my more newbier days I've probably happily merched all kinds of cool stuff without even knowing better to identify/salvage/save them. Thank goodness I don't remember anything...
That reminds me...
In RL I've actually bicycled on a parked car and hurt myself. That felt pretty stupid.

Salvaged once a Rune from a 15K armour piece with a Superior Salvage Kit, and destroyed it (my luck). I'm too used to salvaging off Runes from my Heroes' armours...-___-
Earth
Getting hacked and all my chars deleted.
Making new characters.
Deleting those characters, after 1 has gotten: 15k armor, nearly finished factions, well on her way in NF, leg survivor.
Making new characters, buying 1k armor, deleting them.
Now focusing on PvP. Big mistake, as I don't know anyone into PvP, so I have no way into getting good groups :X

This one isn't something I've done, but I did witness it last week...
A group member accidentally dropped his perfect stormbow right before a cut scene. Some dervish grabbed it after the scene and then left. I was A) Baffled that he just took the bow, and B) Mad that I didn't take the bow.
Now, here's some of my stupid stuff:
1.) Making new characters
2.) Deleting those characters
3.) Misspelling my warrior's name and not realizing it until level 15
4.) Going broke (5k)
5.) I was buying mods to make a perfect bow(when I was broke). I had already bought a Sundering Bowstring, but I said I was looking for one and I got an offer. I was spending my last 5k on it...and I actually needed a Fortitude Grip. I got excited when I thought I was completing the bow, but then I went to put the thing on the bow and I saw I had purchased the wrong item. I groaned, went to Kaineng Center, and sold the thing for 5k. I then proceeded to buy a grip and finish my bow.
6.) Staying broke (600 gold)
That's all I can think of for now.

I made a HoD sword before they were nerfed. Couldn't understand all the fuzz about it, thought it sucked on my warrior and sold it at the merch. If I have waited a few months I could have sold it for 100k + xx ecto...
Blanche Neige
1- In my newbie times each times i had found gold and purple stuff i didnt know that i should identyfy them the salvage it, so i used to sell them to the merchant.
2- Sometimes when going to cap skills i forget to bring my cap sig.
3- Again in my newbie times, joining ramdom guilds filled with people i don't know, i mean joining in ramdom invitations by those people in towns that say ''X guild recruiting bla bla bla'', then every time i joined one i wondered myself why no one was friendly to me or why did no one help me in anything.
4- And once again in my very newbie times, when i was supposed to do the great northen wall mission and i didnt saw the ''enter mision'' button so i didn't know how to start it, so i went to wiki and got frustrated.
5- In my newbie times again, i didn't know there was a loot scaling, so i tried to ''farm'' always with henchmen, then i wondered why did i dont have many drops, i had gone with henchies because when i tried to go alone i died again and again, with some bad builds, never wanted to used wiki builds on my main.
6- And again, yeah in my newbie times, i didn't know that i could change my attributes whenever i like (cause in some other games i played was imposible to do that) so i did never waste an attribute point until i figured out i was stuck in the frost gate mission (yeah with henchies), i wondered why did i not do many damage to enemies and they used to kill me and henchies every time.

forgetting to set attributes and having lvl 1 bone fiends when MM-ing, bringing preparations when using barrage, thinking I could tank as a necromancer..
