The NICEST people you've encountered on GW!
terrible theresa
one of the nicest people I ever met on gw was a young girl who just wanted to talk. when I would see her on I always said hi & asked how she was doing. she wasnt doing very good much since she had a bad blood disease. we always just talked & some times I would help her thru the quests or missions she needed help with.we would take our time & talk about how our life was going.just recently I learned that she died. her sister got on the game & ofcourse I thought it was my friend. she just wanted to see what or who her sister knew on the game. now we talk about her & how nice she was.she never asked for any thing but I always offered my help any way I could. she was the nicest person I ever met om Guild Wars...

I've meet lots of meanies and lots of nice people.
The ones I respect the most are those that have a good attitude towards people. And those who stick it out in missions and things even if it isn't going well or they've done bonus or whatever. Many times people will just leave, which is annoying. The times when people stick it out, I give them my thanks.
People you can strike up a friendly conversation with. I've ended up doing quests/missions with some people and now they're pretty good buddies. Some I've been friends with since I started GW.
If you ping a build and people offer advice in a nice manner instead of condescending comments.
I was also in a big guild at one point, and as someone said, it was more a methodical niceness. The small guild I returned to where I know the people more are genuinly friendly.

Actually, I've met a lot of nice people, but then again, I tend not to get bent out of shape by the idiocy I also encounter.

Some of the nicest people I consistently meet are tiny female monks when I'm trading. They are always happy, polite, considerate, and literate.
Somewhat oddly, the rudest tend to be male monks.

There are many nice people I have grown accustomed to over the years -- at work, at school, and even online.
However, my guild leader is among the nicest person I've met.

The only decent people I find are in my current guild, whatever guild. Which almost doesn't count because they already have a disposition bump for being in the guild!

Ruud.
There is no one in this game who can compete.
Most respectful, helpful, and fun gentleman I've ever met.
I wish he could still play China eated him!

I've had a few awesome things happen to me. For instance, I was beginning my Paragon, sitting in an almost vacant district 8 kamadan. I get a random PM saying "Hi." I say hi back, thinking this is going to turn into something dumb. This person then goes on to give me an end-game NF spear and a Briahns Shield. Was awesome.
I also like giving away things for free. I usually like to hang out in Ascalon City or Kamadan, giving golds away for free to the lower level people I can find.
A little bit of advice, PM the person you intend to give something too. If you announce it in chat you may attract people who don't actually need it.

Long story short, a guild recruiter who had unsuccessfully attempted to get me into his pack of losers apparently decided he needed backup to face me, and called upon a few of his guild members to stand around me using the /taunt emote. I laughed and resumed dwarven boxing runs.
Oh, and on topic... yeah, they were nice people for coming to his aid.

when I first started playing, i saw someone saying that they were selling ectos for 400g gold because it was only worth 300g or something at merch, I whispered to them that its a bad idea and that it was worth wayyyy more then they were selling it for, the person whispered me and said that out of all the whispers, I am the only person that whispered to tell them it was worth much, much more.
they told me to come to storage and gave me a free totem axe.
i wish I could remember who it was so I could pay them back. I still have that totem axe.

The nicest ppl i meet would have to be some of the members in my guild/alliance, i usually hang out in empty districts so i dont meet with too many random ppl.

I actually meet a lot more nice people than mean people. I can count the times on one hand where someone was flat out rude or condescending, and the majority of those [less than five] times it wasn't even directed at me. The officers of my guild even make a point of trying to spend time helping others...and most of the time it is not even people in our guild, but just peeople we met while playing that were cordial. I am known fo my game knowledge and build suggestions and getting people through very tough areas when they are tired of trying to figure it out on their own. One of the officers likes to help people with early NF missions and quests. One likes to help people all throughout Tyria working on their protector, skill hunter, and cartography titles.
I know that a lot of guilds are dedicated to making the game more enjoyable for everyone, including hosting events or things like "sponsoring districts" during the Canthan festival.
Overall, I would say that there are only a small handful of crass, anti-social-behavior players. It's a shame that they make so much noise.

My vote would have to go to DVDF. Unfortunately I cant remember the names of the actual people but I needed to explore Jade Quarry for my cart title and they'd just finished it for one of their guildies but with only one person left in the outpost they managed to rally a full side for both luxon and kurz and i promptly got my title.
Never yet found anyone else like that willing to give up their time to help someone else who was nothing to do with them.

There was a R/Mo who i adventured with in FoW one of my first times. the rest of the group was new to FoW like me and kept almost getting wiped. he rebirthed us all so often that we were all at 60 dp. he just calmly explained what we were doing wrong, and started leading us through the whole area after using a few candy canes to eliminate our dp. after the forge, most of the team left, but he stuck around and we did the wailing lord and everything but the burning forest and tower of strength.
That was my first forge run, and really sparked my interest in FoW and UW. adventured with him a few more times after that, but then i lost internet for a long time...
Rue Stormshadow is also one of the nicest players you could find. (i might be biased, seeings how she is my wife...) without her help i would never have gotten anywhere in this game.
i'd say there are lots more good people playing GW than jerks, but thats just my experience...

The nicest people I've met in GW would probably be my friends Tundra Thunderblade, Arala Starsong, Trindor Fuzzywinkle, Elsa Marie, Yijo Tahn, Ferahgo Blackblade, and Darith Kaulk. They're always cheering me on when I'm going for a goal or something. Couldn't have achieved anything with their support. Thanks you guys!

ive met quite a lot of nice people
1) when i first started i found 2 black dyes and i was trying to sell them 2 people, i was clearly a newb so i was getting tonnes of crap about them being worth nothing and how some1 would say they would be generous and give me 1k for it (they were worth 10k at the time) well, some1 pmed me saying those other guys were talking complete crap and said it was in fact worth 10k, he then instructed me to ignore the offers and only sell for 10k, sure enough they all caved and offered me the 10k for each :P
2) some1 asked a bunch of people (on alliance chat) for help in a NF mission, only myself and one other guy accepted. well we finish the mission and the person who asked for help is super happy, thanks us and all that, then leaves. The other guy who had helped asked me what i had been doing when i decided to help. i tell him i had been farming for the last 20k i needed for my primeval gear. Well he says how is glad there are still people willing to drop what they are doing in order to help some1 else, so he gives me the 20k i needed for my primeval gear
3) an alliance member ran me through the last few missions of NF that i was stuck on, then re-did the last mission when i didnt have my money and materials for the gear i wanted. he was a saint

I never had such luck. I was intelligent enough to remember seeing a "dye trader" in town when I got my first black dye drop (after buying a few colors for my set set of armor anyway), so I went and checked there. Good starting money back when I was only playing for like, a week.

The nicest thing that happened to me was back in the day before factions came out and when HA was still HoH some ele took me in his pro team when he knew I was a newb at pvp. He then gave me tips at the end of each round and got to play 5 matches with him and almost got r1.
Since then I've gone to pve and never been able to find a group for HA that just wants to have fun.

My guild leader is probably the nicest person i have ever met.
well he is extremly UN greedy
Just some of the things he has done for me and some guildies
1. I had an account that was hacked. I never got it back lucky i had a spare account, but it was NF only...I logg into GW and my leader tells me he has a present for me, the next day i logg on he told me that he went to EB games spent $50 on me and bought me factions. I was soo happy.
He has got 2 other guildies GWEN
and he has put 2 deposits of $100 at EB games for when GW2 comes out.
which the games will be giveing to 2 guildies.
He gave away 2 Ele swords when they were like the "thing" to starter guildies
He is just the coolest Guild leader ever!

I've got a few words to say ...
Be nice to someone, and see, one day it will come back.
- Might not look like "the nicest people you've met in Guild Wars.
But stop, it was - This was said to me the first week I played.
The guy had helped me for sevaral hours, and I said thanks a hundred times.
He then replied what that.
... We have been best friends since.
Night, I own you so much - thanks for being there for me.

Yesterday I got the "Legendary Skill Hunter" title, and seconds later I received a few pm's from random strangers congratulating me. I thought that was nice
Aera Lure
My current guild leader. The officers and leader of my previous guild. Many others who ended up on my friends list, having met them in my days as a runner back in Prophecies. Still others here on the forums who became friends in game. When I think back on it, I have had truly a wonderful time in GW when it comes to people I have met.
