Ive seen almost as many nice people as jerks. I had a UW pug the other day and I had never done anything but the whole group, literally all 7 other members, helped me do each part, explained what to do, and when i made mistakes totally covered for me and stuff. Amazingly nice guys. I also have an alliance that never disappoints either. Ive gotten free runs, solid advice, and really helpful people since the day I have started. I like to think i return teh favour but i doubt i do it nearly as much as I should. Imma do something nice tonight lol.

Nicest people I ever met were..

My first Guild leader who has taken a break from GW. Passed away ..He was such an inspiration to me for making my monk and ranger and now I am in love with both of them...He is to say the nicest person I have EVER seen.

Has to be the friends I have in my tiny Guild..

They will do anything at all for you..

Help Vanquish an area? No probs..
Need a hand with that Hard Mode Dungeon? No Probs.

Always say "grats" when you get a decent drop or a gold item out of a chest.
Always say "Hi" and "Good night" etc

And whats more.. their mother language is not English (we have four languages spoken in our guild) but they will ALWAYS change to English chat when I or any of the other non-Flemish speaking players come on line.

And as for their generosity.. Well, one thing stands out above all others:

We had just completed a normal mode Ooze pit run and a gold max req 10 Elemental Swords drops for the Guild Leader from the end chest!:

Me: Oooo - first one I have ever seen drop!
Guild Leader: Do you want it?
Me: I can't take that - do you know how much it is worth?
Guild Leader: It's only in game money ;-)
Me: Yes - but that is over 100K of in game money
Guild Leader: Opens trade, puts up sword, hits accept.

Well, my really good friend that I've known for a while stopped played Guild Wars. We always had the most fun together, and she made me laugh like no other. When she was quitting, she gave me her Tormented Inspiration Staff that she always used, and her FoW armor. I still keep the FoW armor in memory of her, she was so nice.

Thread rezz is ftw...

But, the nicest people I met were probably a group in ToA that I was tanking FoW for. I had never done it and they were so nice and understanding. They gave me tips about holding aggro, and weren't mad at all when thing went south a few times. All in all, they were pretty awesome.

its funny that the OP wanted to know what nice ppl you have met in gw. Instead everyone talks about how nice they themselves are........

This seems to be a common theme, but yea, the guys in my guild/alliance are pretty cool. Especially my guild leader, who taught me a lot about the game many moons ago. And gave me a charr bag in pre

Probably the nicest person I ever met was the kind gentlemen who gave me a little scoop to help make myself some cash. He told me about buying wood and crafting parchment, then reselling for a higher value than it took to craft (back then it was about 70g to craft a piece, and could fetch 100g to sell). Obviously you're not going to make much money off of one piece, but I was selling in batches. I'd make 14k worth of parchment (which was 200) and resell it all for 20k. It didn't take very long at all and it was very profitable for a newb! I probably bought my first 15k set in that week, and it was 15k Gladiator's for my Warrior

This is a tough call for me, I've seen so many great players through the 2.5 years I've been playing. I think I'd have to say the winners are the officers in my guild - They joined the guild I created back when Proph first came out, and we've been playing together ever since, across 2 guilds, somewhere around 10 alliances, and just about everything else.

It's people like them (and the others mentioned in this thread) who really make the game fun and inspire me to give back to the GW community.

probably when i started GW, this player helped me out throughout prophecies and asked how i was doing whenever i was online. she also bought about three quarters of my 15K armour so i owe her a great deal. im now equal to her in rank (officer) and we always VQ together

she asked me if i was a girl...i asked why? she said because im so nice.

so...are girl players nicer on average?

but it was a nice thing to say anyway ^^
