sorry to revive an old thread, but today I found a STAFF WRAPPING OF OGRE SLAYING! (20% vs. Ogres)!

I haven't Expert Salvaged yet, wondering what I should do with it, heh. Do ogres even exist in the game yet?

i had a gold plagueborn staff with 8 req blood, 20% chance of halved communing and 20% chance of halved domination. hmmmmm how was i meant to get 3 professions to take advantage of this amazing weapon. merched it.

Energy +7 (Requires 6 Channeling Magic)
Armor +4

Although this would be good as a backup for a 55er

The classics are the insane multi-profession staves. Hands down. It's not all that likely that you're going to using your req 9 blood staff, trigger the +12% casting of inspiration magic spells while using inspired enchantment, and then get the +1 healing (20%) to trigger on the next cast... Plus there's ones with four or even five different attribute lines required to maximize their use - attribute lines from different professions.

As for the most useless item I would have to go with the ogre slaying knife. Alot of the other items listed here (not all but alot) either were salvaged from something that had use (candy cane shard) or can be salvaged into a material for use.

What is Guild Wars thinking, why would they even implament this sort of item upgrade, if its -50 health (it would help builds like the invinci monk) but -5 enegy, i dont think there is a way to make that help at all.

I know that plants aren't that much in the game, but the 'pruning' items are not useless at all - also it's an 'upgrade' not an inherent attribute of the item so such items shouldn't even be posted in this thread.
