Pets - Guild Hall - Multiple Pets?
Xeno Breaker
Lately i have been thinking. I have a ranger and i have a level 20 bear and i can easily get a elder spider from UW. So i was thinking i worked hard to level up my bear and i like my bear even though i wann try out new and different pets. This is where my problem arose do i just go to ascalon and let go of my pretty bear and go get my self a spider.
Then i thought to myself i have this big beautful guild hall with so much space, why can i not just go to my guild hall release my pet bear and then go get myself a spider or a Moa bird or what ever pet i wann try out. I dont like the idea of losing my pet which i worked hard to raise to just let go to some npc. I wann be able to have multiple pets and be able to switch them when ever i desired. Any one have any thoughts?
I was thinking maybe for chapter 2............. Maybe

"Nice bear... good boy... *gulp*"
I think that's a very good idea, but then again, how to go about recharming? It's treated like an outpost so you can't your skills. Maybe a "Travel to Animal Pens?" button?
This definitely deserves being looked into for Chapter 2.

Phantoma
What about a pet that you up start with, then when you go into an area that has other animals, having the ability to add them to your group charmed, just for that mission or quest time that you are out of the town, kind of like making minions, having more, but they arn't perminant. Would be a cool idea to have the lev 20 animal have some lower level buddies to help kill an ettin and such. Worth a ponder anyway. Maybe an extra skill button such as "Charm Animal Minnion" or something like that, and still having the "Comfort Animal" button work on all animals in the area that are charmed instead of just your charmed animal.

At the moment the guild hall is nothing more then a glorified waste of space. There are so many possibilities. We spend all this money to buy this space and we can do anything with it. I expected to have more things when i decided to buy a guild hall but i was disappointed.
Now back to the pet thing I wann discuss. At the moment it’s just an empty space. I say that we are given the ability to use it some how. My suggestion is that let us use it as a Pet storage at the least. Where we can "store" our pets until we wann use them or in my case switch to a different pet. Be able to have more then just one pet. Honestly I was very disappointed after spending close to 65k buying a guild hall. I say give us more option on what we can do with the guild hall. Give us the chance to dump our old pets in the guild hall instead of some random npc in ascalon and never be able to us that pet again which I worked hard to level up. Give us the chance to have more pets, it will be more realistic. Many people have more then one pet in real life. Since I can’t have pets in real life let me have pets in the virtual world. Give me the option to be able to choose different pets for different things or to just look cool.
I am just rambling here but any thought would help…………….

I'd love to be able to switch out my pets, depending on where I was adventuring. And yes I know, they are the same statistically, it's for the aescetics!
That's why all of my characters are either Primary Ranger or Secondary.

Oh how this would have made the pet testing easier... instead of leveling up another pet each and every time.

Gaile mentioned, she wouldnt mind a "pet stable". (example, There is one at pre, behind pitney).
Also, if pets were ever differentiated in attacks/abilities, then there would be more reasons to keep more than one pet to use in different situations. (other than collecting and raising)
Would be nice to have more than one pet. ( I would think 3 is good)

It would be so cool to have all of your guild mates pets running around the hall, I mean, there is so much space for a ton of pets. To switch pets, you could talk to the guild tamer, a npc that watches over the pets.
I kinda want a warthog, but I don't want to get rid of my pet wolf, Mr Fluffles. I got him in the first few days of playing, he kinda has sentemental value.

I kinda like that idea better then my kennel idea... I mean it does two nice things. allows your pets to roam around your Guild hall (which give the hall some more functionality) AND it allows you to go get it later if you want a particular pet... Very interesting concept...

I think it would be quite nice if, instead of selling pets to Jarrel the Tamer (or the Canthan equivalent), we should be able to store them in our guild hall. Then, we could cycle between pets when we wanted to. It would be great fun to collect all the pets and have them at level 20, then cycle between them (ie you could use Dire in BPing, Hearty for certain solo farms etc and also show off your menagarie to your guildies).
For example I have a spider. I'd love to cap an Emo Moa Bird, or white tiger, but cannot because I can't get rid of my current pet (well, won't).
Anyone feel the some way? I'm sure lots of us would love to keep pets

One major problem with pets is that you spend time training one pet, then have to discard it to change pets and then have a low level pet till you train it again.
My way of handling the mutliple pet issue with factions would be for you to be allowed to have multiple charm animals in your skill list, and when you tame a pet it changes to an icon describing the pet (its level, name and type). Naturally you would have to buy each "charm" skilll seperate and could only ever have 1 pet or charm on your bar at one time. Then you can eaither train your low level one, or pull out the lvl 20 one if you need it for a difficult mission.

have charm animal as more of a signet of capture just for rangers, so it becomes say "Signet of Taming" you use it "Signet of Tamed Moa Bird" or something.
I think that would be nice, all other charactes can switch types of builds easily, but its hard work if your a Beast Master and want to deal a different type of damage, or use a different type of Elder pet.

I'd enjoy the feature -- but it would be a pretty hefty thing just for favoring rangers. Do warriors get a cache to store extra swords?
The more elegant solution would be to turn pets into items.
It's really a pain to have to turn your pet in to the trainer before you can get a new one. Sometimes (especially how I play -- avoiding spoilers!) you run into a pet you really want to get, but you can't, because you have one following you already.

It would be nice if you could turn in your pets to a zoo, and if you turned in a max level pet, you could come back and reclaim it later, that way you could possibly have several max level pets to switch around freely, kind of like henchmen selection, except augmented for pets.

Just one question though; is bumping allowed on this board? Because so far most people have /signed this, but it keeps getting pushed off the page by more ideas.

For the Signet of Taming to become the Signet of <Tamed Animal>
And it is not like warriors who require storage for their weapons. Warriors do not require a skill in their skill bar that says: Sword Use - Allows the ability to wield swords in battle!

...equipping pets like items would be nice, but that makes it quite imbalanced since you wouldnt need charm animal anymore, and they would have to work charm signets like elite skills, only one at a time
