I made my sin with a different name, I then began to become known as "darky" (from Darknight, my other char), eventually, all my new chars had darknight in the name, I'd kill to make my sin Darknight the sin or something

And if I start to regret the name, it's probably because I started regretting the entire character. A more desirable option would be to switch primary professions. But then again, I don't want to rip apart Guild Wars at it's seams. |

As for the other options, might as well make a brand new character! |

It seems like the more populated the game gets the more unoriginal the character creation scheme exhibits. I think the name change with a fee and a quota will help others who want to relive there veteran characters a new way and more importantly it will help get rid of bad names. This is more of the game developers benefit than it is for the players though. What people really want most is not only a simple name change but a full facial change and a broader selection than the oblique and option limited selection which the game first came out with. Compared to the newer games that are coming out and prior to guildwars you can go so deep in character customization you can start off as deep as the skeletal structure and even add in scars and freckles along with shades of different skin pigments and they will have a direct effect in the motion engine of each individual character. I hope you do this with gw2. As for gw1 I think for the veterans and other players a wider selection of facial patterns should be incorporated to us players. It can be something like a special weekend event or one day only per year just so at least we can relive our characters in a different perspective.
