How are u guys getting the quests? There must be a certain time when nikoles shows up or sumthing. BTW, im in American districts.

American Servers should be all in the mix at somewhere around 12:00PM... (Midnight)
Candy Cane shards come from the gifts you get from collecting the items needed by the collectors... the quests give you the Ginger bread items from what I can tell,

Looking at the list of collector items, Charr Carvings seem to be the most farmable, the quickest. What are the best places to get those? Right now I've just been running the Nolani Academy over and over again, tripping the lever, running downstairs, killing the 10-20 charr that try to invade in < 2min and restarting.

Did both of the new quests, didnt take that long. Just ask people in LA and Drok, you'll get all the stuff pretty easily. It's getting the candy cane shards for the candy cane weapons that is slightly more taxing...

I also had a shard drop from a gargoyle outside Nolani...went rather well with the black dye I also got! Hooray for farming low-level mobs for their skulls!

Ya it must be luck because I cleaned out that frontier area for shards (droppin grawl); nothing lol, just the usual low lvl armor/weapon drops...
I'll post any updates if I find anything.

Okay I found a shard drop grawl/gargoyle hunting outside of ascalon. So they will drop the hunting is so easy, and the collectors require so little in the end it doesnt take much effort to find the necessary necklasses/skulls to keep you opening gifts lol... and if u get lucky you'll find a shard drop

Ok... so from what I've seen so far in the forums is that... all the shards drop pretty much everywhere, best strategie I can think of would be to kill monsters in an area till you are satisfied, then port to another city and repeat

In Ascalon right next to the one for Charr Carvings, theres a group of them there. As for the candy weapons crafters - theres one in Lions Arch in the merchants area by the cage.

I was doing the grenth one where you kill those snowman things and i found they drop rare axes. I got a sickle, tribal axe, and hachet. All mid damage but semi-rare non the less

The Candysmith is missing from both LA and Droknar's for some reason. And I have 3 versions of Candy Cane Shards; a salvage item version, a version worth 1 gold, and a version worth 10 gold. Has this happened to anyone else? o.O
