No blue item that drops is perfect? Then why are there perfect blue items in game? I've seen lots, including the BFDS, including the screenshot a few posts below yours. Just because you've never seen a BFDS or a perfect blue item does not mean they do not exist.

And it's not a collector item. There are what 1.5 million players in a tiny game world, do you honestly think Anet could hide an NPC in this game and not have people find it? BFDS is a drop, Derek got the first one as I saw his a long time ago, and now there seem to be a few more.

icy dragon sword, blue fiery dragon sword? was there a difference between the one derek found and this one? he said it had the same name as a normal fiery dragon sword.

I believe what was meant was a NEW collector added, or an old one updated for xmas with todays update.

ok this may sound newb to some of you, but is it possible there are Ebon and Shocking Dragon Swords, considering there are both Fiery and Icy? Would make sense no?

You can not replace a fiery on a FDS, last I checked.

True, I'm not sure on that, but either a) the item wasn't supposed to be added back then, or it was on test server only and got put into the live server accidently, so it had an old name and just the flames were blue, or b) they changed the name and increased the drop rate (seeing as how it looks like many have dropped in such a short time) for whatever reason. Derek hasn't been online for awhile so I can't ask him if his changed into an IFS or is still a bugged BFDS.

more pure speculation, but if this IS a christmas present, which it's looking increasingly likely that it is, then are they going to remove it after this weekend, like they stopped Halloween?

I hate to think the hornets nest THAT would cause....technically, the sword is no better than a collector item, so it's purely aesthetic. Even so, if they take it out as a drop it would become extraordinarily valuable.

Unless, unlike Halloween, this is a present we get to keep in perpetuity.
