Nothing new so far...
They added randomly spawning "presents" in all the major cities and you can pick thme up and give them to new npcs called "young cihld" and they give u a presnet back. also there is 3 grentches who run aruond the city trying to destroy the presents.

It would make sense to me that this Wintersday event would last the whole of... winter.
Then again it could end on Wintersday itself (New Years Eve) since the event has you helping either Grenth or Dwayna, and by Wintersday there will be only 1 victor.
Snowball fights wouldn't be an all year round thing, and with Chapter 2 in the makings and possibly an easter event, theres seems to be enough fun there

If you want christmas stuff go to "Ruins of Surmia" and and walk out into the eastern frontier and farm the grawl there, their necklaces are tradeable for goodies. Also...they drop dye alot...oh and shards too.
My dye spoils have been.
