it might. I've had various results. what OS are you running?

you can force the game to run in dx 8 and with no shaders via -dx8 -noshaders also as stated running in windowed mode is probably hitting you...

your options are pretty limited. I'd start with: turn off v-sync turn off post processing try the -noshaders switch

the switch is -mce. just delete it, hit apply/ok. you'll be gtg.
