How did you ever manage 60 fps in GW with a 8400M video card? What settings did you use for 60 fps, and did you change them?

based on the info thus far I'd guess that it's the external enclosure sata controller that is messed up... it might be easier to just buy...

what are the specs on your laptop?

Interesting - I have not heard of anyone NVIDIA cards getting the black screen... Main PC - has Win 7 64bit and 2 x ATI 4850s - with a single 4850...

I have not played Fallout 3, but I'm a big fan of some of the other Bethesda Software games and the console command to show FPS in them is...

I'm afraid there's not too much you can do, the closer we get to GW2 the more ppl report troublesome PING etc... I think it is affecting...
