Okay, you guys are missing the point - I'm using henchmen instead of people; since henchmen listen all the time, I don't have to worry...

Trick with Elona is to just use your henchmen as shields and run the whole thing (that's what I did with my Nec)...took like 7 or so minutes...

This is true - Necromancers using Henchmen get the shaft. Imho, anything dealing with priests and ressurrections in PvE should follow PvP rules.

You are wrong. I tested the health after rez with DoT's. Point is, they shouldn't rez after dieing 4 times.
