It seems that the Hippo was removed and replaced with Crocodiles.
Yea, its pretty bad. I can't continue my quest until it stops.
I also found teh flower, it was in a keyless chest. Not sure what its for though as I havent yet found a quest related to it.

It's called clipping, I don't know of any armor in the game that isnt victim to it. Not a bug per-se, just a flaw in the character rigging.
