I found the interface of TS to be terribly...terrible.

Thinking about it again, it's probably not Anet's fault nor that is exactly how the GW engine naturally behaves. Perhaps it's the way...

As DarkNecrid said, #1 has nothing wrong with it. Okay so it might be my crappy design of showing it's an elite skill, but it's there....

I thought the health bar -- whether it's red for health or a certain color for a condition/hex -- contrasts quite well with the UI's blue.

Doesn't happen over here, I just booted up GW and tested it on all interface sizes. It must be the way your computer are rendering these.
