I can only remember one r8 dropping for me in 2 yrs gw and that was a non max bow in desert. I am sure a few more maybe dropped but cant remember....

I would say alot are still around. You can pick up dual reduction for any shield if you look long enough bar maybe Crude shields. They just cost...
Has anyone ever seen a max damage Hatchet or Tribal Blade. I would have thought with the introduction of HM they would exist but have yet to see...
