Well, neither of those newegg systems has as good a CPU or as much RAM as the OP's original system. So, it's not a clear choice.
Try forcing GW.exe to run in only one core. Search these forums for info on how to do it and/or software that will do it for you.
This applies to all the Headgear that says attribute+1. (Glasses, Woads, Badana, etc.)
