i cannot confirm this about the bear.. as i found him to be fat, slow, and useless.. as far as the wolf i had one from level 5 to 15 and noticed...

bird is speed for sure.. i may have wolf mixed up.. its been so long

at what level did you get this wolf? and at what level did it get 'bigger' ?
