I wouldn't really agree with phases 5,6 and 7. The item usually peaks near the point of discovery, and never gets anywhere close to it because...

The whole point of the armor is to show off your wealth. If you can't afford the armor, then you can't show it off.

I guess you just don't understand what I mean then.
