Is it possible to get 100% (of Cantha) with a canthan character without exploring shin jea arena completely?

You can access every tyrian mission with canthan characters. The missions before LA were unaccesible before the last update though.

How can you explore Imperial Sanctum that much?

Try starting gw in dx8 mode and see if the problem is present there: gw.exe -dx8

Have that problem on ATI cards too, only in dx9 mode. Also with newer ati drivers (6.0 ->) imps and lava have light blue textures sometimes,...
