New mods for weapons?

I just turned in my token for the Straw Effigy... and to my surprise I could actually dye it. Thanks Anet for not leaving me w/ the default color...

The armor crafters in the preview event each had one look on them and all of the statistics available, so I think Anet is actually working towards...
