The problem with 90% of gpu's is drivers. While ati is an awsome for the price card, you need to deal with their drivers. Nvidia's are not...

The difference is you can run 2 9800gx2 and 3(or 4?) 280's. 2 9800gx2's will not touch 3 280's. The other issue is the bus bottle neck...

Ok I run 2 8800gt in sli. If you do not bump the fan up past 29% it will run hot. 70c+ but I have never run into a heat issue with fans at 60%+....

personally I would wait untill the new chips come out near end of year. if not then. 790i mobo or a skull trail 8 or 4 gigs of the best ddr3 ram...
