You can change the skills your heroes use, I gave Koss my warrior combo in Factions.

I think you can charm it. Try it out, all charmable animals can be selected, excepted for the water cow that was posted some where.

Maybe it was added after they made the Nightfall skins. A lot of games do that, the developers gives you the illusion that they planned every...
