The equipment just gives pve players a slight edge of pvp only characters in number of weapon, armour switching, blah blah (read thread for all these differences). Please dont' start the whole "Pve players are better then Pvp" ~ "NO, PvP are better then PvE" argument, as it's been kept out of this thread pretty well so far.
For starters I read the whole thread. Secondly, my PVE character competes in PVP because of those "slight advantages." I don't think you read my post clear enough, since you quoted 1 statement and totally misread it.

What I meant from that statement is, that no player should percieve himself/herself as being special or feel that he/she deserves that extra edge in PVP, just because they brought a PVE character all decked out into PVP competition. In other words, I didn't mean "better" as in skill, I meant "better" as in feeling that they deserve those small advantages, just because they went through a GW campaign AND shaped that character for PVP.

Yes, I was talking about this. I know it takes longer in PVE to shape a PVP character (you go through a whole campaign) and the process is slower but that's because it's PVE. The point of PVE is to go through the campaigns of GW and fight NPC's. I'm saying that, PVP players still take time to shape their characters as well. I just don't want anyone dismissing that fact or calling people "lazy" just becaues they don't have 100's of hours to kill.

But it wasn't always like that, and many of the people that have posted in this thread i'm shure are amongst those that had to buy thier runes at higher prices, and the old greens were often crap causing them to buy perfect weapons and then buying mods for them. There is alot more grind involved for the pve player then the pvp only chars to get pvp ready. Skills also take along time in pve to unlock. You have to farm money to buy the skills, and some of the good elites are hard to get. Minly those that are aquired on the fire islands. Takes along time to get to them, even with runs. Many of the skills are out of the way and take alot of additional time to unlock.
Ok yes, I know the process of creating a PVP character from a PVE stand point, I've done it. The question is though, why should we have to? Why should we have to go through this painful process just because we want those slight advantages in PVP? Anet obviously offers a faster way into PVP competition, so why is it that they don't have 4 weapon slots or can have more than 1 type of armor in their inventory? If they feel that those who put endless hours into their character deserve those advantages, then what's the point of having 2 types of characters in GW?

I'm not. I'm for equalization.

Well, only slightly off topic. Because, if you read Izzy's quote in the beginning, he specifically states that the only difference between PvE players and PvP only players should be cosmetic.

That's the one thing I think should be kept PvE specific: better skins for weapons and armor. That's the "reward" for going through the "role-playing" part of the game. And frankly, if we're going to buff PvP only players, (or nerf PvE players), I think PvE players deserve it.

I agree.
