Could someone who has been in the store share some of the possibilities to pay? I would like to prepare.

Isn't it a requirement to create a PlayNC master account when you install the game the first time? I thought so, but maybe not.

You're not going to be able to buy a digital character slot retail, makes no sense. Your only option is to wait for nightfall and get their 2 slots.

Yeah, I need that answer

This is what I think you do it on, but the account name has @plaync on the end, whereas I use different.

Create Account for Guild Wars

If you already have a Guild Wars account, you should activate your Access Key in-game by clicking on the Create Account or Add Access Key link at the login screen. Select the Add Access Key to an existing Guild Wars account option and follow the on-screen instructions. DO NOT use it now through PlayNC or you will be unable to take advantage of any benefits your current account provides.

In order to add a Guild Wars game to your PlayNC master account, please enter your 25-digit Access Key in the space below, choose an account name* and password, and click the CREATE button.

If you do not yet have a Access Key, you can purchase one from here - alternatively, please visit your local games retailer.

----

Game Account Username @plaync (5-12 alpha-numeric characters, beginning with a letter)
Password (8-13 alpha-numeric characters, beginning with a letter)
Confirm Password

*: @plaync will automatically be appended to your account name.

Why doesn't it make any sense?

They are selling a lot of digital goods as is, activation codes on a piece of paper, usually with a scratchable surface to uncover the hidden code, just like how Factions CD key was in the box.

Some folks that have made it into the store have stated there is facility to either create a new PlayNC Master account, or to link to an existing one.

Right, there's an option to make a new PlayNC account there or enter in with an existing account - that is if you are able to get in. :]

Go to your local supermarket.

Look in the impulse isle next to checkout.

Buy an iTunes card.

Log into itunes. Redeem the card you bought with *gasp* cash.

Voila. Digital Content in a real store.

So, can we over here in England get access to this shop yet? I've been having constant Err=042 boxes everytime I try.

Also, how do you go about adding a new character slot to Guild Wars if you don't have a PlayNC account? I have a brought from the shop and installed normally via the CD's type of account.

I am still getting an error, and I am in North America. What's up with that?

I think I will only buy 2 character slots. Currently, although I own Factions, I don't have an Asn or Rit. So I will buy 2 slots for those, and then use the 2 with Nghtfall for the Dervish and Paragon.

I wonder why people care about the limit on number of slots, unless it's quite low.

I mean, I don't care if other people have 100 characters. What does it matter?
I suppose its because it facilitates hoarding. I can't see that it matters anyway though.

Oh, and woot character slots.

You do need an account, but if you do not already have one, you can create it when you enter the store.

That said, with how slow its likely to be for the short term, you may be better off creating the PlayNC account first on plaync.com

  1. Visit http://support.plaync.com
  2. Select the Login tab.
  3. "If you do not have an account..." - Press the Create a New Account button.

I would recommend that anyone who has not used the Support System to create an account.
