Nightfall Prerelease Bonus Pack Details

Ok just to lay it out for folks, as it seems to be a point of confusion.

1) You can pre-order Nightfall or Nightfall CE with OUT the "Guild Wars Nightfall Prerelease Bonus Pack"

Your game will still be pre-ordered. It'll be shipped to you the date of release (( or even a day or two before in some cases))

If you pre-ordered from a brick and mortor store they will hand it to you on October 26th.

2) You can order Nightfall or Nightfall CE WITH the "Guild Wars Nightfall Prerelease Bonus Pack" For about $5 more than you would with out.

Or

3) Some places you can JUST order the "Guild Wars Nightfall Prerelease Bonus Pack"


Now... I was curious like many of you. I came here today to find the answer and saw noone knew. So I spent a few minutes. Found a PHONE number. Called up. Forced my way past automation and 15 minute wait time and asked.


____IF______ You order Nightfall OR Nightfall CE ___AND_____ The "Guild Wars Nightfall Prerelease Bonus Pack" They will send out the "Guild Wars Nightfall Prerelease Bonus Pack" On September 15th, then on october 26th they'll send out your game. I called and asked a real flesh and blood person this.

So if you order the "Guild Wars Nightfall Prerelease Bonus Pack" with your game, you'll get it mid september, then the full game late october.

The "Guild Wars Nightfall Prerelease Bonus Pack" Does NOT come automaticly if you PRE-ORDER. It's a gimmic. A little teaser. It drums up intrest for the full release.

Think of the "Guild Wars Nightfall Prerelease Bonus Pack" As seeing a preview at the movies. You pay a bit (( A small bit really)) and get the trailer. A few little treats, a mini stratagy guide. Some flashy art.... it wets your appitite.

It either 1) Gets you hyped for the game you already orderd or 2) Makes you want to order the game if you ONLY got the "Guild Wars Nightfall Prerelease Bonus Pack" .

Sure there is a 3rd option. You don't like it and try and cancel your order, but they're betting on the first two. It's to keep intrest up for another month and a half till the game comes out. Word of mouth. And it puts things in your hands you can show your gaming friends and parents and spouces.

"Look honey! Check out this bitchin' guy with a scythe!! I've GOT to get this game"

Or "Mom! Look at all these cool things, if I get good grades on my report card will you buy me the full game"

Or "Guys... I know you have the first two.. but check out these wicked cool things on the next expansion. We've ALL got to get this and cowboy up!"

If you don't want it? Don't pay the $5 for it. Just get the game. Or don't get either.

Seeing as the char slots go for about $10 it's a deal anyway you shake a stick at it.

Even if you DON'T like it.. it's $5 people.... you pay more for lunch at McDonalds.... Sheesh.

The Factions preorder did have a cost..

But that's not how it works either.

The pre-order (pre-release) package is basically a down payment. When NightFall does come out, you can bring in your recipt (sp?) and get $5 off the game. So your really not loosing money.

No.. The Guild Wars Nightfall Prerelease Bonus Pack is a seperate item you can choose to order or not, with your Pre-ORDER.

It's a little goodie bag you're paying $5 for. It doesn't give you a discount on the game.

Why is that?

How the feck am I supposed to get this in bonny ald england when it's not on amazon uk and all the game store employees give me a blank face when I enquire about buying this pack =/

Have checked gamestop/ebgames and for some reason there isn't a uk site?! Closest I found is Ireland.....no way I'm paying more for the delivery :/

Not sure which version it actually is, though, for I'm kind of confused over this pre-ordering issue.
I thought you could also get the pre-order extras through pre-ordering the full version... or can't you?

i'm wondering the same thing. Do they drop or do you trade for these?
If they exist, can you craft them?

By their names you'd suspect tempered steel would be crafted from 10 steel ingots, and some charcoal. mebahya wood from spiritwood? ironreed from... iron or plant fibres? Skyquartz from granite slabs maybe? or not. just speculation.

Did one of the devs say that? Because what you are describing is the same as the Factions Pre-order, for which you didn't have to pay extra. It's just a pre-order in the form of a goodie'bag'.

Gameplay appear to be giving it with the Nightfall pre-orders...still awaiting info on whether it's the whole thing as all they mention is the 2 keys (not the mini-guide etc.)

Anet has listed the prerelease bonus pack as a new retail package since the day they announced it, they now use the term "prerelease bonus pack" to differentiate it from the free preorder packs.

Really? May I ask which EB Games is that? Maybe my EB games will do the same. I assumed you ordered in person at a brick store, not online.

Looks Like it is/will be available at all the usual places, Amazon, ebgames, and gamestop.

I wish they would use walmart. So people in rural areas without a gamestore can still get to it without providing a credit card.
