I miss the camp and the huge pillar...

Yeah,they just lame and dont want to do it.How much harder is to make all characters stand there in the inlarged area,idont belive anets excuses.

Very few people (except the hardcore fanboys) believe Anet's excuses any more, a few examples:

• 'The game will be grind free'... except we're going to make it impossible to make money without grinding, because making bots the only characters able to make money is the only way to stop bots
• 'We delayed hard mode until 6 months after Nightfall to make it extra-super'... except we didn't bother testing it at all, and lvl3 henchmen had their level buffed but not their armor and weapons as we promised
• We haven't implemented the 'improved trading system' we've been promising since beta because... well... because... LOOK A GRAWL! (screeching tires)
• We didn't include the 'variable profession' hero promised in the Nightfall manual because... well... because... LOOK IT'S THAT PESKY GRAWL AGAIN (more screeching tires)

Ye olde Tyrianne selectionne screen was also a lot more unique. The Factions screen wasn't even using Canthan theming! It was basically Kryta in the ocean, with a RoF volcano and a whale that looked like...well...a high-res texture of an Ettin's back (and I mean an Ettin's back, not the explorable area).

The old screen was a cross between Ascalon and the Shiverpeaks, but was executed far better than the Ascalon Foothills transition (which is just Shiverpeaks with a dirt ground and orange sky).

:O I thought the factions pillar was awesome!

More selections of popular things would, in the magic of eye-candy and images causing changes of opinion and emotion, make guild wars better.

Exactly, I think it was a renmant of the Kingdom of Orr since the Cataclysm if I'm not wrong because you can see the Ring of Fire and a part of chain mountains to the other side (like on the map near the crystal desert)

I'd like to be able to change my Login screens. Choose Prophecies, Factions, or Nightfall backgrounds, instead of always seeing the Nightfall one. ((Granted EotN will probably be up in a few months))

/Unsigned? More RAM, memory....ext... for a background that you look at for 2 seconds?

It will change when GW:EN is released anyways.

Perhaps I will sign this after seeing what they do with GW:EN and afterwards.

i don't see how it would use more RAM, it would still be runnning just a background.. it may use a little more HDD space, but very little
as for teh 2 seconds thing, it's just a nice little touch.... like how some people make/download custom Boot screens for windows (granted they come with spyware/viruses but that's not the conversation)

We need more signatures. I really want my factions background back, that music and the view means everything to me, and brings so many memories of my early days of Guild Wars. Please, someone from ANet, see this and make it reality!
