Apparently Anet needs to increase the drop rate to like 12 times the normal to even make a difference. |
- Scourgebranch: Dropped after 3 runs.
- Ssyn: Dropped after 2 runs.
- Kaolin: 2 items after killing all the constructs twice.
- Sskai: 3 runs, 1 drop
- Geoffer: 3 runs, 1 drop
- Reefclaw: 1 run, 1 drop
- Mithuran: 1 run, 1 drop
I was especially pleased to get the Kaolin Blade, that was one I'd never gotten before. Now all I need is for Sunreach to drop and I'm very happy

I've had greens drop from all but one of the bosses I've killed - and Ive never had greens drop before! I have taken my lvl 20 necromancer to cantha to solo.

Just as a word of warning, if you go with a party and one of the member has overfarmed ie the farming has kicked in then I suspect the farming code will apply to all members of said party.

I went to solo Geoffer today and I killed him solo about 15 times and he didnt drop a single thing not even cash or scrolls. The last time I tried to solo him was about 1 week ago so I cant understand why he wont drop anything.

It's actually kinda funny. I've been farming everything in Rhea's Crater for about 3 hours over and over again and not 1 boss has dropped a green for me. But I have about 17 Ungues of the Oni to show for my trouble now.

Got 5 green drops for one hour of farming. Ofcourse i had to chat with guildies about all our drops and change builds in the meantime so not to bad if you ask me.

Killed 3 bosses in Arborstone once and Whispering Ritual Lord, got absolutely zilch for two of them and merchant food for the other two.
This seems to be evidence of the "If everyone is farming them at the same time, drop rates decrease" theory.

Me and another guy plus 3 henchies went for Ssyn. I got his staff on the 3rd run. Then nothing for 6 more runs.
4 man farm group in vasburg. Got Spiritgarden in first run.

I've gotten absolutely nothing, but I'm not a super farmer or anything so I go with a few hench. I'd had delusions of getting piles of greens to give to people, and I've gotten nada. One of these days I'll figure out how to solo!
And Sunreach keeps smacking me around.
I'll try again today. My cute little warrior needs a shield, and I've been eying that and Jacqui's Aegis.
I'm really glad to see people managing to get stuff, though - particularly the people who have never gotten a green drop before!

have had some excellent luck this weekend.....though I learned to NOT bring the prof with of the boss whose green I want......so the island guardian ele has yet to yield me his green.
BUT
got the rit boss challenging staff (no I dont know the names sorry) in the archepelgos with 3 henchies
got the necro boss just northeast of gayla....with 4 henchies
finally got the dumb monk island guardian to drop his smiting staff--this is how I learned to not bring any of the prof with, had tried with my monk and guildees w/mo.....tired with same guildee and my rit, no luck, then tried with guildee e/n and my rit/e......dropped on the first try!
(was even running around the started isle and got a green from the warrior boss---nice beginer ax for my hero).
still want to get kaolins wand for my rit (had to get my guildee to unwaking waters first).....and didnt get a drop from the necro plague guy.
Otherwise all these drops were on the first try!

Soloed Ghial with the wiki Mo/E Sliver Armor build and out of 14 runs got 4 staffs. Something to help the new guildys get going and finally i can get rid of my bortaks stuff for a fresh shiney new staff

What really bites is, depending on your class, you arent allowed to go on farming run anyway.
Rangers, Assassin, Rits and Mesmers are completely excluded from any farming parties.
All anyone really wants is a 4 man MM Necro, SS Necro (Or Nuker), Stance Tank and Healer monk party.
Try to join one of these when you arent the right class and you get bitched at. Or you could stand in an outpost for an hour and a half (which I did) finally get in a group, have someone "More Important" join and tell the leader to kick you out, which they did...

Went with a friend to 2 man Ssaski, no drop - not even gold. We went on to Geoffer, I got the drop. The 2 man we use btw is a war and mez - the mez is ranger secondary, has a pet and uses poisonous bite .
My friend had done over 30 bosses = nada, go figure.
It was my first attempt at any greens in factions in a long time as well.
I have noticed an increase in districts in fav farming locales, so this has attracted ppl.

I'm finding out how to duo farm lots of greens this weekend, great experimentation time. My wife and I go out as a Rt/Me Vengful farming build (me), and an SS necro (my wife). It works similar to a 55/SS build, where I gather aggro, and get them clumped, while she spreads SS.
This duo build (you can find both builds in the farming forum) works wonders getting such greens as: Wing's Axe, Stonereaper (solo Rt), Jacqui's Aegis, Reefclaw's Refuge, Sskai's Sword, Geoffer's Bulwark, and more!
If you have a necro friend, I'd say it's remarkably easy to just make a nice solo build (like a troll farming build), with whatever class, and make sure you gather aggro while the necro applies SS for the brunt of the damage. Works like a charm just about everywhere, as far as I can tell.
Hell, we've only farmed for about 4 hours since the weekend started and we've already got 10 greens. Love this weekend! Now our Heroes won't be without decent gear!

I've gotten every green I went after this weekend, and I didn't need much. I've been giving away ones like Incetol's Focus and Scourgewind's Branch. It took two tries to get Delic's wand and one to get Quansong's Focus. Nandet wouldn't drop his bow until the fifth try. Overall, a very good success rate.
Basically, anyone who talks to me in-game about my farming builds usually ends up getting one or two spare greens that I may have clogging my inventory/storage.
This weekend has been good in a lot of ways. It's made greens readily available to everyone like they always should have been. It's also made me feel quite generous.

Finally started getting some greens when I switched to playing my toucher. So far, I'm up to 5 Ritual Lord's Staves, a Sskai's Sword, and a Rajazan's Fervor. Let's see what else I can get...

OMG i cant stand this weekend. after about 10 hours worth of farming i got 1 green and saw only 4 drop.Triple drop rate my ---. however the ppl who somehow get surplus greens sell'em very cheap now.

And what really cracks me up are the folks that want to get a green item at the wrong place. Just go to Raisu Palace and watch them do the stupid mission again and again. If you tell them that the crappy greens like Koosun drop in the EXPLORABLE area... well.. watch the shitstorm rise. *shrugs*

well this weekend so far ive joined several group going for greens in cantha. 46 such forays without so much as seeing a green it kind of ticked me off so i ended up farming sf with henchies and got 5 greens and they call it a triple weekend in cantha

What me and some guildies do is I 55 and he SS's. It is difficult, yes, but we do it. We run up, I bring Sskai to the wall, and he goes down. Got 2 off his swords finally.
Geoffer, went with a team of four, just some 2 warriors, SS necro and a heal monk. not hard, just brought 4 because we share drops.
Xuekao, FFS, he is easy. I can solo him with my rit ( TY Dahnel) hard, yes, but fun. Me and above said guildies got a tank, heal monk and nuker together

Arrahhan, c'mon.I just modified an SS/SV necro to suit for our needs. We used the build for Sskai and him. SS/SV + 55 ftw . .
Jacqui. Deadly for a 55 with Deathand Chiblains, and whatever the sins use. Just let them run into the other group, try to take out those silly sins/deathands first and let them kill levathians. Destroy Jacqui with Reckless SS, Empathy. Jee Jee.
We have done Wing, still testing him tho. Killed hm, but mesmers are hell.

This weekend has been great, I really enjoyed going out and getting all the greens I wanted. It just feels so much better going out and getting them yourself as opposed to looking at somebody with $$ in their eyes imo.
Any chance it gets extended? There, might be a few I would still like to try for... lol
