What's the best way to increase Lightbringer Rank? The 100 LB point quests are....difficult, and there aren't enough enemies to hunt with a bounty.
I'm currently R2, but I've seen R3s.

The Master-difficulty quests aren't that hard - especially not the two involving Shiro's men and the Fortune Teller. Make sure you get Lightbringer's Gaze and use it to inflict damage - each use does a maximum possible of 100 x 3 damage and interrupts each one as well. I'm almost R4 and I've just been making sure to get bounties while doing the quests....
I also still need to beat the second Keeper quest in Gates of Torment as well. On a side note, anyone find the outpost between Secrets and Fear? I found the Gates of Nightfallen Lands in Fallen Jaha so.
Also here are the rewards for Lightbringer titles so far:

I just hit r4 earlier. (haha beat you again Loki). Next rank is 7500, if it's not on Wiki and I'm not sure about the next skill I have to go look.

Well, I'm no where near there, But I use the area outside Orchard in Vabbi. Theres Enough Diamond/Ruby/Sapphire/Roaring things right outside to gain ~95 lightbringer points a trip.

Oh and Lightbringer Gaze, the best skill ever...well it kills at r4. I've been fighting in the Torment world, this one place gave 600 pts for a whole run, but takes about an hour.

I just killed monsters in the Realm of Torment to get my points while skill capping and exploring the area. I am Rank 4 right now, but the next rank is going to take some time to get since it is 7,500 points. Also, I checked with the Lightbringer guy in that one outpost (Chantry of Secrets I think it is called) and he gave me no new skill for Rank 4.

Probably the Domain of Secrets. Between the Margonite Battle and Menzies Battle, you can get several hundred points clearing the area. Honestly, the Margonites and Shadows are just pushovers.

Well it took longer than an hour actually, just finished now..but it was outside gates of secrets. Kill every group in that area and I think it's about 400-600 points you get.

Yea, I hit R4 tonight. Shadows and Margonites are the best farm... I managed to farm up like about the same amount in one hour. I wonder when this stops because at some point it has to; otherwise, you'll be doing some insane damage to Abbadon's allies...
So no reward at R4 - hopefully that won't be the end of it because I kind of look forward to getting a neat PvE skill or bonus. :X Stellar Onishi

I'm not sure that the Lightbringer title will have an end... The titles are juste like the Hero ones or Gladiators.

Wow so there is one after 5 huh? Well, attack damage is 25% @ 5 and recieve damage at -5 all the time, so i think it's worth it, plus someone said there is an elite signet, which might also be worth it.

There's no skill given for R4 but the Title effect continues to grow stronger. I don't know if it will stop or not because if I you could get like R12 Lightbringer it would be 60% extra damage which seems kind of overpowered.

i was saying...do you still get blessings from NPCs (Whispers informant etc) after you reach rank 5? like with sunspera points when you reach rank 8 you cant get anymore blessings

yeah i gotta imagine r6 is the highest. I thought is might be r5, since there are -5 damage mods. Someone will find out fairly soon though, it looks like.

if you guys dont mind, where do you farm LB pts? I've been working in the Alkali Pan just outside the warp from Shattered Ravines, Monoliths seem to be the easiest to farm.
Is there a better place, one where you can utilize worms perhaps?

Yeah the entire area with the wurms works very well. Just watch out for the desert wurm spawns, cause they suck!

The Lightbringer title is earned in the same way as Sunspear points in the later parts of the game - via quest rewards and bounties from res shrines. For each rank in the title, you gain 1 damage reduction and 5% damage bonus against Abaddon's demons. If you're new to Elona, you don't have to worry about it at all, since you won't be dealing with demons until the later stages of the game.
And no, Lightbringer's Gaze doesn't work on the final bosses in Gates of Madness. |
