well.....three times zero is still zero......doesnt mean much for me except that the bosses in elona dont seem to drop green items and having to multiple it by 3 means I am right! (cantha was only 2x)

Well think of it this way. In multiple runs, even with hench and hero, you are at least 1.5 times more likely to get the green to drop for you and not one of your heros or henchmen.

If the last event that was in Cantha with the bosses dropping 3x is any indication of how this one will be, then greens will be dropping left and right. There were a lot of happy people that weekend and prices on greens fell like a rock for a while.

I think that for all the future events, ANet shouldn't announce that they are even happening, because all people do is complain. Just hold them in some district somewhere and see who shows up. I think people who are actually playing are less likely to complain than people who are commenting on forums, since that is what brings a lot of people to forums.

Dear any Anet rep that reads this,

OMG WTF are you thinking?!?!?!?!. OK that part is out of the way now to why this is a BAD THING.

There is a little thing called enconomy and you are messing with it big time. Nightfall hasnt even been out a full month and you are allready skrewing the pony with this weekend event.

Greens should be able to mature with some time ( not less then 3 weeks) so that the vaule of them will stablize. Once they have been around for a while people will except a certin price range for them.

Now if you do this at this point in nightfall's life, you can ruin the NF greens forever. We all know once green rate increases price goes down. After this weekend so early in the game, the green prices may never recover. So like greens will be worth like 10-20k a piece and will mess up with the green farmers that use that for their source of making money.

PLEASE dont do this now. Wait like a month or two so more people will get further in the game so they will have a chance to get those greens they want/need.

They are doing what they took so long to do with Cantha and stabilize the Green Market before it gets obscenely overpriced. They are probably also appealing to the new classes by making the new Scythe and Spear classes readily available for purchase.

Just another way for me to make money this weekend, just gotta find a suitable boss to farm with either a necro or ranger.

Most greens are nearly worthless already anyways because of the flag trick that most people do it with ever since Nightfall was released.

This just makes it easier for me to get the one I want ^^

This I actually like better than the factions x3 (Though I'm certain just like the factions one - drop rates will barely change enough to matter).

Why? This one is actually timed very well. At a period where greens in Nightfall are still inflated and prices vary greatly. I'll bet by the end of this x3 weekend we start seeing some consistent pricing on the popular greens and those prices will be under the current inflation.

Yep, events like this are a good thing for the player base as a whole. It give's those that don't like to farm a chance to purchase a good item at a reasonable price. Events like these help Anet to substantiate their claim that Guild Wars is aimed at the casual gamer.

Online games are always about the virtual ego. Majority of people want to show others than they are better. Unfortunately this is a cold fact and the biggest reason why GW doesn't have 6 million accounts.

I dont think im far enough to get any decent greens.Just did the cemetary mission with my dervish.Sure i wish they would have a new weekend event that hasnt already been used.But im sure the perfect event for me will show up soon.

Bad weekend to do this special event since PS3 is coming out Friday and Nintendo Wii is coming on Sunday so majority of peoples will be camping out for them. I might spend some time on Saturday to get some greens for me.

Like I always say, the lower the prices for greens and other expensive items go, the better. Flood the market with the stuff. If someone is gonna spend hours getting the gold for a green or hoping for a green drop, then proceed to the next goal, I say cut to the chase and let the person have it. Long term goals should be storywise and getting better at PvP and stuff.

Also, we have tons of Hero characters to arm with good equipment. The more green drops the better. I say make it a one or two week long event. Throw Tyria and Cantha in there too. Or have the same event for them one after another.

the point of greens is their meant to be worth the trouble to find. if your just buying greens for your chars are you rreally exploring the game fully?

im not saying theres a 'right' or 'wrong' way to be played, but this will definatly encourage people to take advantages of low prices...

...then again it will also encourage people to go out and find them.

hmm I guess I think its no bad thing, it will encourage people to play nightfall but its not such a big deal. have a fun weekend hunters! and happy shopping everyone else! :P

Im not sure that greens will go down that much. I know that since the advent of the Heros I took a lot of mine off the market for the use of my own heros.

The demand had to have increased at least somewhat.
