I'm glad there doing this event so I can get the equipment for my heros. I had a feeling they would do this that is why I beat the game with my ranger first.
Yes i know touchers are cheap but they are one of the best boss assassians.

I'm not farming much right now, per se, but that's only because I'm progressing the Elona story line. No matter - A large part of the purpose for that is to identify new solo area prospects. Soon enough, I'll be back to annoying TPTB, and solo farming like a lunatic. Meanwhile, I'm still getting green drops like so many dubloons at a Mardi Gras parade - The bosses are virtually flinging them at me, even when I have full crews. As of last night, I started getting a lot of gold drops, too.
so, triple green? No big deal to me. If I find something really interesting and worth keeping, I may be forced to sell some of the lesser ones off, as I run out of storage room for the interesting ones. As it is now, more than half my chars have at least one green item, and they usually have two or more. Heck, many of my heroes are sporting green weps, shields, and focii, too.

OMG! I CAN'T GET 75K ( for an item with exact same stats as several Canthan greens... ) WITH SO MANY GREENS in the market now!
Who gives? I'm glad this is coming about, because I don't find amusement in farming, I am more of a explorer and somewhat find amusement in the terrible storylines. I get good chest drops which I sell and buy a nifty NF green... now with this I could buy 2 greens with one drop. ^_^

I wish there were a decent map I could get to that have the locations of greens. I know where a whopping 3 are in the whole game. I just want one for my chars. Rarely do I sell greens unless it is one that drops and I don't use them. I am just not a big farmer I guess.

I may be wrong here but dont they normally have a "Made Preperations for Weekend Event" update before these events as judging by the fact some ppl I've been speaking to in the outposts havent noticed any increase in the amount of greens dropping compared to what "normally" drops and compared to the Canthan weekend which did have an update before it started, I'd say it's a bit of a farce

I got 2 greens so far...
But only played for a little bit in Elona, got the Deathbringer on the first try, and then some healing focus i traded for a Benwah bow.
Fun weekend so far. Too bad I was in FoW most of the night. But I got a Black Dye in there so its all good.
Maybe it might have something to do with being in parties of 8?

So while I didn't get my green axe (and it's one of those I just want, my warrior doesn't use axes), at least I was able to do a Good Deed which is in itself worth it!

3 Suli's scythes in 12 runs (first run I messed up and had to have my henchment bail me out, and he dropped it even with 7 other heroes/henchmen!)
Deatheater Longbow on the first run (with Cynn dead but within range)
Korr's Focus within 4 runs.
Overall, the drop ratio seems to abe 1/4 1/5?
That's what I have farmed so far, gonna do a lot mor today^^

The first two were in Prophecies. And these two were before the weekend started (at least per design starting).

My only problem is that I am not far enough for some of the really cool greens yet. But, that is my play level so I just hope they will do this again sometime.

I haven't really been doing much this weekend in the way of greens other than farming Shagu's Anthem (The only greens I wanted/needed were Shagu's Anthem and Wandalz's Refuge for my Paragon) so I got my warrior over to the outpost nearest him over the week, then cleared the whole place with 7 hero/hench, sent them away and solod Shagu with a W/N Grenth's Balance build. Got Shagu's Anthem on the first try. I didn't really feel like farming Wandalz's Refuge at that moment so I just played on my Ranger a little but then one of my previous guildies/friends said that he was farming Wandalz and needed Shagu's Anthem so he farmed me a Wandalz and I farmed him a Shagu's(He droped it on the 4th kill this time) and we traded.
I don't normally plan on making money on these weekends so I just got all the greens I needed and have been working on getting my Ranger so Bone Palace for the 10k armor for the rest of the weekend.

Wow.. I've made about 30 runs now for the Deathbringer with 4 - 6 humans/hench. So far I haven't even seen one drop for someone else, let alone myself. Seems I had better luck before this weekend, and with a full party of heros/hench at that.

Has anyone noticed a massive diminishing return on farming runs this weekend? I'm not talking about just anti-farm code. My friend and I were dual farming some bosses, just us, no hench. We got two Terror Scythes to drop in 3 runs. We then farmed the Darksong, which we got in 3 runs.
We then tried to get more Darksongs. 8 runs, nothing. We went to a different zone, to get Shagu's anthem. Again, 8 runs, nothing. We tried getting the Eye of Argon -- it finally dropped after 10 runs.
Is this just a coincidence, or some code that Anet has inserted to prevent people from hoarding up greens?

I ran the Shattered Ravine for an hour due to a lack of mouse (Laptop touchpad ftl). Got the Monk wand with HCT/HSR 20% and gave it to a guildie.
