3x Green Drop Weekend...

I've done pretty well so far. I've only been farming for things that I might use myself or for a friend and haven't farmed to sell. Yep, there is some sort of anti farm code of some sorts in effect as drops aren't nearly as frequent as they were 3:30 pm EST on friday but it's still worth while for me as they do still drop, just not as often. 10 1/2 hours left, gotta get back to it before it ends

First 5 bosses i tried in a row all dropped there greens first time, and after that it has took on average between 3-5 runs to get others to drop there greens.

I got loads of Darksongs (about 25) and Exuro's Wills (~20). Persistence is key. Very happy with this event just as I was with the last 3x green event.

Well, I still haven't had a single green drop in Elona during the event (had one drop before the event started, though).
So, with over a year playing, all three chapters, approx 2 dozen characters: 5 greens and that's counting 'noob island' drops in Cantha and in Elona.

Alternate locations, do some selling, travelling, questing etc and you don't hit anti-farm.

Got darksong on second try.
13 runs on Wandalz..killing all three bosses each time..13 x 3 = 39 boss kills..not one green drop.

But yeah, ain't got all the time in the world to farm and do other things in-between so-as not to set off the code. Yeesh, they should either permanently increase the droprates of greens, or have it last a week or two. Just can't find the time to pillage in just one weekend.

This weekend has been a success for me with the green weapon drops and I never solo'd and always had full hench with me.
This is what I got.

The only wep I was really trying for was Deathbringer and I went outside of the Cemetary many times to finally get it. I found that if I avoided mobs and killed only the 3 Kournan at the first tower then killed the next 2 or 3 Howlers and then killed the birds around Deathbringer and finally killed DB himself, most times he would drop something for me, usually a half-digested armor or a crap white spear or scythe. After about 20 runs he eventually gave it up.
By the way I didn't do 20 runs in a row. Id do max of 4 or 5 and then go do something in anouther area and come back later.
Most of the other weapons dropped after a few runs and some like Terob's Wand, Mhedi's Vow and Morolah's Staff dropped with my first and only kill of the boss and that was with all those hench with me. I tried a few times to get the axe Chor drops but that didn't work out. Can't complain tho.

Sending the henchmen away doesn't work if I remember right. This could explain ALL of your problems.
To do something solo, you really have to SOLO it!
This is why I wish that in events like these they would keep the drop chance the same but have bosses drop more items for every member in the group... although I suppose that they can't because some people would abuse it.

Sending Henchmen far enough away ('Til their names turn grey.) removes them from both the XP and Drop tables, which is why you get far more XP, and why every item a boss can drop goes to the single player in-range. Sending away Henchies after destroying their group, then soloing the boss has netted me over three-dozen Greens this weekend. Excellent system for gaining items you want. |

I haven't even tried. Things hardly ever drop for me, I rarely farm anymore. If something does drop for me, it will be a fine day for hell to freeze over. Time to farm on ice, eh?

But I can now solo like 6 bosses on ym ele (big accomplishment for me)

I'm pretty happy - I got a bow for my ranger, a spear and shield for my paragon, an extra spear, 2 scythes (1 of which will go to hubby), a bow and a blood magic staff for my roommate, a death magic staff for my brother's fiance, and some really sweet looking daggers. 10 total I think.

59 Greens this weekend. I could have gotten some more...but I had to work / got very fatigued from farming non-stop. This weekend actually made me dislike the game a little bit. I know it's 100% my fault, but I guess I was just tired of not taking full advantage of these weekends, and ending up with like, 1 green on a multiple weekend.
I'm gonna take a break for a day, then come back and be content again. Selling the duplicates will definitely add to my already increased bank account through straight farming / finding random golds, TONS of scrolls, or other salvagable items that ended up making me 30k+ from the merchant.

I am damn happy lol, been an awesome weekend for me, the hench flagging tactic + a warrior character made green farming extremely easy for the vast majority of bosses out there

just as I figured....killed lots of bosses got nothing....not even money most of the time (did get some useless scrolls)......so my three times nothing equals nothing holds up. Hubby got one green for his dervish, wasnt even trying to get a green, just cap the skill, had the whole hench/hero team as well.....

Vau, i got lot of greens, but u beat all hehe. I did not have luck with Shak-Jarin's Sword, boss did not like me hehe.
Then i see u dont have Exuro's Will, are u for a trade for a Shak-Jarin's Sword?

Out of all bosses I farmed, Shagu kept dropping his Anthem for me, got irritating as I wanted Mhedi's Vow but it all worked out in the end lol

I got my +10 vs slashing and my +10 vs blunt shields for my runner, so I'm pleased. Thank you anet for adding greens that I actually want.

all i know is i started with 80k now i have 205k storage box is totaly full of greens a guildy is holding onto 23 of my greens, and ive got 6 or 7 in my inventory, not to mentiojn the ones my heros have equiped. this weekend was very profitable. now i need to get some sleep.

kurrub's vision (+30 hp/+1 dom)
shakor' spear (silencing/fortitude/15^50)
pehnsed voice (poisoning/fortitude/15^50)
Nightbringer (death 20/20/20)
Terror Scythe (vamp, 15^50, fortitude)
Terob's Wand (10% universal, +5 e- death)
5 Hassin Shells (lol roxor!!!!- no req = perfect for spear rangers/assassins)
4 Stormbringers (henchie love, even at high levels, req 3 energy storage)
chorrs axe (ebon axe - Now all i need is to be allowed to cap Ebon Dust Aura for my war)
the vampiric spear outside portal-town (vampiric/15^50/fortitude)

Here's my idea to make green drops a little more 'reality'. Whatever drops our heroes get, we get. We are in charge of their inventory after all. We are also paying to put runes on them, paying with our time to level them up.
Using heroes and the flag system seems like a workaround, so why not just fix it right ANet?

Well in factions i got a total of zero green drops EVER. in propecies, i farmed sorrows furnace over my christmas break, and I got a lot of the crappy greens (like flints and thorgalls) that i couldn't sell for more than 1k, and i got about 3 realy good greens.
But yesterday (I dedicated the entire day to farming for greens) I got 6 greens all together. Which makes 7 total for nightfall. So yes, I could definatly tell a difference.
But nightbringer didn't give me his staff
Im still angry with him.

Geez i'm kinda jealous...ehh lets make that damn jealous!!! I got 1 stinking green item all weekend and it was a focus. Thing is, with my luck i knew that would happen. Oh well!!!
