What profession was your first character?

While there have been threads on this, I didn't find any with a poll.

started off as Ranger because I like Rangers in single player RPGs
- having a pet was a nice perk too

I had no clue on what skills Rangers got when I created her

Elementalist FOR LIFE!

Elementalist, created back before the AoE nerf and they were still useful for dealing damage.

Warrior. Started as W/N.

None of my alts have hit level 20 even though they're one year old.

during the October WPE 2004 event, I first made a necromancer coz I loved the mohawk.

Mo/R in Beta, but that doesn't count I guess.
W/Mo after release.

I knew from before I got it I would have to be an MM

Ele - they sold the idea really well to me, and now it's the only profession that i've used but not got 20 in.

Mo/R by virtue of the fact that I thought a tattooed monk would look cool. If I'd had any idea what any of the characters did then I probably would've picked something different.

Mo/r. My first and one of only 2 char's I play. I suppose technically a warrior was first, but I deleted him after 5 minutes of wandering around pre.

Ranger. Just liked them the most I think.

got into post searing at lvl 4, managed to get her to borlis pass (I think.. first northern shiv. mission) at lvl 13.
Made a warrior later, only played him. Gave my ranger one more chance, entered the mission, *miss* *miss* *miss*. got angry and deleted her.

my first character was a R/Mo for the hard res and the pet and traps and things like that. i freaked out when i first used ignite arrows on him in pre.

Elementalist for me. =)
I was reading a magazine on Guild Wars, and read that Elementalist/Mesmer were supposed to be the biggest damage dealer, so I, knowing nothing about how tactics and stragety worked in GW, went with that.

Mesmer for me.

Still my main pve char, and easily the best profession in the game IMO
