my first one was a ranger.
i was browsing though the store and stumbled onto gw. it looked interesting so i went home and checked online about it - the skills and what the game is actually about.
so i feel in love with the ranger skills. the plan was to make a pve spirit spammer with stuff like eoe, echoes, fertile, .....
then the next day i ran to the store bought gw and installed it. after hours of experimenting with all the possible face and hair options i setteled on a combo i quite loved! then went out and explored the secondary proffs. stumbled onto the necro - raised my first stiffy and never looked back!
deleted my ranger and enjoyed my necro for months!
but techicaly speaking the ranger was my first char (even if he lasted only 3 secs) and spirits still are (next to ashes and hexes) my favorite skill type in gw.

My first character was a ranger. I loved the idea of having a pet, seeing as in a MMORPG I played earlier I played a class that has pets too.
kimahri
My first was a ele *points at avatar*. Ele foreva!
Metsa Pille
My first character was a female W/Me with an axe. I remember using Ether Feast, Backfire and Empathy aside of my adequatly normal warrior skills
CyberMesh0
Elementalist, I preferred long range damage.

I had seen the game at a friend and saved some money to buy it.
After reading the manual, I took Necro as first character.
It just seemed the coolest choice.
I have had some good times with him and stayed away from Minion Master a long time. Blood and Curses did (and does) very good damage.
Now he's working his way through Elona to get his 3th protectors title.

Ele here ^^ with monk secondary
why?
it seemed the natural choice since in the previous MMORPG i used to play i was a priestess (and loved the class so much i had 3 of them X.x;;, in that game the priestesses were known more for their offensive skills as opposed to support due to game mechanics (you had to click on the actual character to heal X.X;;; and if you clicked inaccurately you could end up healing the mobs instead)

Cow Tale
Assassin! the assassin was my character of choice in diablo 2. thats why i picked it. big mistake on my part since its nothing like the sin of diablo. would not recomend this class for begginers. i made it to level 20, made it to around vasburg armory before i quit playing it and made a warrior. deleted my sin because i didnt like it after about 2 months, before i knew u got mini pets after a year. wish i hadnt deleted him now since ive found some nice solo builds for sins. guess ill have to make a new one! =)
Nadasee
Warrior (W/Mo)
I still got her as my main and only warrior after all these months.
Created her as soon as i got Prophecies, so she is arround 18 months old, and has finished all 3 chapters! Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall! ^^

Ranger, it was a very good class in previous RPGs I played.
Jetdoc
Whammo here. Tought me how to solo and come up with various builds to exploit enemy weaknesses.
Avarre
Mesmer rly?
Dj Tano
Well i created my first char still in the times where you could have the quick look on your char.
It was basically that on the left you chose profession, in the middle you saw your char and on the right you could choose hair, face, and colors.
I had to choose between ranger and monk but the monk looked way sweeter so i chose it and have kept it ever since...

My very first character was a Ranger... a R/W to be specific. The reason I chose that was because I didn't like the look of the Warrior at that time, so I made my ranger into a warrior. It worked out, but after a while I realised that the warrior did more damage overall. While the R/W did decent damage and was a great stance tank, I just couldn't justify leaving him that way. I still use him, but he's a true ranger these days... though I do bring him back to R/W and go running around with a sword at times for nostalgia reasons.
Orinn
Me/W. I had no idea what I was doing, but one of my friends told me mesmers sucked, and...
I finished the game with that mesmer, eventually going IW mesmer, then echo-nuker. Finally deleted him when I realized that I would never get a group in ToPK, FoW, or UW as a mesmer. Yes, I kick myself about that every once in a while now, as mesmers are gaining more appeal to PuG's, but hey, now I have heros and don't really NEED to PUG.

Elementalist always. I'll be able to solo farm ice imps and do droks runs once i unlock mystic regen and the anti knockdown one lol.
I always played casters in RPG's and when I got GW, the elementalist was the closest thing to a D+D mage.

Ele/Mes here!
ValaOfTheFens
N/Me. I kinda regretted picking two caster professions for her at first but later on having Mesmer skills proved invaluble. The only thing is that there aren't any Mesmer skills I want to cap as they don't really sync well with my Necro skill. I could change my secondary profession to something else but I'm too cheap to pay 1k for every skill.
Alotia Slipfeet
R/E was my first class, has the best stuff and first pick over gold drops XD my second char was a ele but then didnt like the looks, tried war even that didnt work so I created another ranger, a R/me and he has since been my second most played char, Both of them have spiders, perfect bows, and 15k amour while my poor monk, my 3rd char, still has amoon amour, and now my fourth char that made it to lvl 20 is a R/rt but not as played much

Funny, I was going to put Necro as my first, because she was my first 'real' character that I decided to actually play with (instead of messin around with). But then I thought about it, and really the first character I created (even messing around with), was actually a necro! I had this crazy idea of a Necro/Warrior vampiric warrior kinda thing.
Then I made just about every other class to mess around with, deleted them all and went back to my necro. Loved it ever since. Still have yet to try that vampiric warrior... hmm...

Warrior,i was (and still am) a rather big fan of melee combat in every way.
Boy, i felt disappointed when melee turned out to be very boring.
But rejoice! The assasin made my heart rejoice!
Now to convince people assasins rock..*charges in with daggers*

It was a necromancer on my brothers account. Plaid to level 3, then realized the accounts weren't locked to the machine the game was installed on so I activated my account as well (was visiting him at the time - he's in Southern Cali with all those water thieves, and I'm in Northern Cali with the tree huggers).
Made another Necromancer, but then quickly switched to an Elementalist. I've been trying to convert myself over to Monks now.

Ranger, because of the armor skins.

I put down warrior, though, I guess you could say that my first chars were my warrior and ranger, because I made them one after the other, and I don't remember which was first.
Anyway, I made my warrior because my friend (who convinced me to buy the game) told me that warrior was a good class to learn to play on. I made my ranger because it seemed the most interesting out of all the classes at the time.
