Monk for me.. I still remember salvaging Charr Carvings for wood to save up for my first ever set of tattoos. Those were the days.

That's interesting! Ranger has the most votes! I'm sort of surprised, actually. Well, not surprised in truth because, well, I have at least 11 Rangers myself. But I didn't realize so many others made them too.

Totally warrior. my first char was hammer W/e that used earth magic. Probably one of a handful that ever did, and even less as their first char. armor of earth and magnetic aura FTW! i still remake that build every now and then for fun..even if its not that great.

Just the mage I like play. Then later on the aoe nerf slammed on us, made my adapt and so still I'm playing the ele to the fullest. And since the ele has made a comeback from the "dark ages" I'm cheering it will last this time, we are balanced, we do a lot of dmg with the new nf skill, but its not like we are hard to kill too, we are squishes, but with terrible magics at our disposal and very flexible

@ Gaile - As to a poll on secondaries, I couldn't figure out a way to do it that would give an idea if it was a good or bad choice. It really depends on your primary.
If anyone can think of a way to combine primary/secondary choice in a poll that allows only 15 items and 1 vote - please post one or pm me.

@ Admins Bane - What I would want to find out would be if you made a good choice of secondary, considering your primary (from a first character standpoint). A poll that just shows the most popular secondary would not give that information.
With the current poll limitations, I would have to put up a separate poll for each of the 10 primaries. A "If you chose a warrior for your first character" kind of poll.

Ranger/warrior. Didn't know anything about how to play..just shooting arrows with the skills and brought out the sword when they got too close. Near the end I ended up tanking because my pug couldn't find a warrior.

Very dislike to use melee weapons , love to be supportive player especially with revival skill if possible and give support heal xD (generally an archer wont have ability to use magic to revive others). <3 to have pet to travel everywhere and to do everything
1st Character Profession : Ranger [90% always with this without doubt, another 10% maybe because I don't like "Ranger", like Archer better]
History:
R/Mo => the only 2nd profession on GWP that have repeatable resurrect skills;
R/Rt => my favorite for 2nd profession until now
R/P => still trying to acquire all paragon skills, later on will decide if I might get like to use it for my other favorites 2nd profession
I would like to say for the poll question: choose your favorite secondary profession that you really like to "be" despite any primary profession you are, even though your choice may not a very good combination for playing.
Alternatively make secondary poll in every profession, create a main post to link every poll in "The Riverside Inn", once every a few days update the main post with the summary from the poll. Like:

IIRC the first char was a necromancer (that's what I voted), but it may have been an ele. I made characters and deleted them repeatedly the first month or so I was playing, so my memory of it isn't perfect (4 slots just wasn't enough for all the stuff I wanted to try...I didn't settle into any "keeper" characters until I got a second account and more slots).

Rena Sapphireblade, I'd like to think she's probably the highest Xp E/W in the entire world - 2,200,000 and counting, just from that single, oft shunned class combo. (I've been other secondaries, but not for more than 10 minutes each, with the exception of ranger, to train up my dire phoenix. Even that only took a few hours of her 600+ hours to date.) I have 24 characters now, but she's always the one I'll come back to when I want to have some fun
Oh and her birthday is the 9th of July

Nowadays I usually play E/Mo, but sometimes I go back to E/W for fun ^^

My first character was a Ranger/Mesmer. I really enjoyed the Ranger class, but I was really enjoying the Mesmer skills even more so that led me to making a Mesmer. However, once I made my Monk I had finally found what I enjoy the most, which is monking. So, that is basically all I play now.

It would have to be my Monk being a Mo/W from pre on although I made a few builds during beta my real first was a W/N and a Me/R that being which is now Misty Maiden.That Mes/R didn't work out to well for me.

Ranger...I figured they have an affinity for the forest and animals, while I have an affinity for hating the forest and animals. Seemed to work, though I really do seem to have an ok sense of direction, not the best but ok.

My first character was a W/N. I thought it would be a neat combo. It was hard at first getting the gist of everything then I got Plague Touch in the jungle and everything made sense. Since then he is my first to do everything. He was the first through Factions was the first through Nightfall. He has the most armor sets out of all my characters most weapons, festival hats and all the other sorted items!
