Guild Wars: Utopia
Lord-UWR
I need to remind you that the Atlantis post on Wikipedia was done by me, taking it from THIS forum and the GWOnline.net Forum. It was originally presented two years ago by me and a good friend of mine.
MegaMouse
This is for Lord-UWR. I truly do not go around flaming everyone within gurru. I just ate my point and if it sounds like I am flaming people then they are taking it the wrong way. Most players apparently have not read up on the Guld Wars lore and do need to look back at it like I have. Not sure if it is within this post but I have already put the definition of Utopia, and the possibility of the next chapter beign like Shangrila. Almost all of what the other posts in here I have been quoteing straight from the Lore that is available for everyone to read on the main Guild Wars website and even here on Guru in another section. I truly think that you seem to be going after me ue to your inabiity to read an entire post (I am even guilty of hat oon occasion). If the admins here think that I am out of line let them contact Inde and I will do as he wishes.

I think we can be assured that Chapter 4 will bring us a whole new plot to think about, and will try to stay away from previous chapters as much as possible.
You just got tomahawked
Guys, We are totally forgetting about "The Northern Areas". I dont believe Orr is in "The Northern Areas".

I would say they are referring to north of Ascalon somwhere. My ultimate GW Utopia is lots of gold and less monsters ahh life would be great.

At King Kryton, Yes thats where it was and the more i read the more i doubt we will go to Orr. I so hope its Northern areas but dont get your hopes up guys.

Orr fell into the Realm of Torment you can see it in the ruins so we've already been there.

Anyways, Utopia....doesn't sound too bad imo. Just by the name of it, hints at nice landscapes, and what not.
Hopefully it stays nice landscapes, and doesn't turn black and turdfilled at the end like the last 3 games.

OK, so here's Tyria as we know it. (Sort of, all we know about Cantha's location is "South".)
Whatever the next chapter is called, I hope it's set somewhere that will fill in one of the gaps.
*Edit* - Credit to TC Fish for the source maps.

I wonder what lies east of Ascalon/Crystal Desert and north of Vabbi? I can't remember anyone discussing that before. The majority seem to be talking about west/north of Tyria (which are the more probable locations for C4, but still). We also know that there are many hidden reefs/islands between Elona and Cantha, navigated by the Corsairs and the Luxons.
East or south of Cantha is also something to think about... and then there's the possibility of a 'new world' chapter across the 'unending ocean'... but I won't deny that the most convincing idea for C4 is the Mursaat homeland, west of the Maguuma. A northern continent comes second place for me, since I asked Gaile whether there was anything north of Tyria and she had never heard of it before. That could just be a 'I know nothing' cover-up, though .

Considering the extremely high cheesyness factor of the word 'utopia', and also implying that every chapter after chapter 4 would be lesser (utopia being the ultimate), I'm not willing to bet money on this discovery to be the final name of chapter 4.

The Realm of torment is shaped by Abaddon, There is a nightfallen Jahai which is abaddons version of the real Jahai in Kourna. so saying that Orr Became the realm of torment is wrong.

we can't consider the information from wikipedia to be official. wikipedia is so easy to hack that its not even considered hacking. that page could have been made by anyone and has no worth untill an official source has confirmed it.

Besides, the author of the wiki page already posted here.

For frag Doll: love how you put the maps together. Heck I never even thought of doing that. Good job this clears up a few questions that even I was wondering on. In agreement on the possible placement of Cantha, not sure exactly where it will fit in in the future.

Guys, lets not forget that chapters 1-3 have had a totally different storyline.. chap. 1-3 storyline ended at nightfall, new storyline = chapter 4

Gaile already said there are clues in the manuel and in the game.
We have that northern lands thing...so my best guess its the mursaat, as mentioned in the thread, nothing else is more obvious.
So while it will be a new storyline line, there are many references to Utopia in the game, and the manuel. Nothing else makes more sense, why else would Anet and NCsoft get new domain names? The only reasons they ever had is for games in the past, and they REALLY value their fan base, so why make a forum?
My guess is this:
Northern Lands, as in North of Tyria
Mursaat, and many references in this thread
Utopia, as mentioned by San De Alessio... (thats his name right? )
And that rest is total speculation... we don't have anything to go off of besides new professions (arcanist, magician, etc), and I seriously don't think there will be any....maybe Norse Gunners or something? Like the intro to WoW with that cool gun...... That would definatly fit into the plot, and dwarfs+ guns= cool....or the end of gw....
The plot, professions, and everything else besides these are speculation.... I mean how much more evidence is there? Even if you looked all around, all we have are those 3 solid facts, which are good. I guess until Anet announces something, we have nothing else to go off of? Anyways, its good enough for me, I'm sure in a couple weeks it will be announced...and I will wet my pants in enjoyment.
I think we have enough, lets all go take a nap...

Sorry to burst your bubble Silly Warrior but it couldn't be aboutn the Mursaat as their homeland is in the Maguuma Jungle west of the Ullen river. This is taken directly from the Guikd Wars lore. I do agree that as far as a northern land that is more than possible as there are numerous hints in-game and even in the Nightfall manual. As far as the inhabitants of the northern lands that is still up in the air for now so even I am in the dark about that. I still keep looking though for any info that I can find. The name of the guy you mention is Saul De-Alessio.
Mega Mouse
On the Mursaat, it would be nice to see them not as enemies but as allies though.

Also, some guys noticed some time ago the home-land of the corsairs was also mentioned in the manual.

Didn't the Mursaat encourage the murdering of innocents on the bloodstones? Even if it keeps the Titans out surely that makes em evil
Wouldn't have thought we'd have em as allies however??

But anyway, I think that the Mursaat would be quite awesome allies, and their culture could provide quite the interesting lore. I don't know.... as awesome as the Mursaat are I do have some reservations and don't want to get too hyped for a total letdown
(And to heck with the Junundu, I want to ride on these crazy Mursaat Speedboats in Utopia's version of the desolation [If there is one.... but even a minigame with these things would be sweet])

Yes, a monk who lacks any potent elites by THK is obviously extremely brave.
Im too poor to go out and buy Cap Sigs :P
Don't worry though, i got Word o' Healing on him the day after.
And seriously, that THK run wasnt bad at all. PvE Enemies dont understand what Healing Seed and Vigorous Spirit can do in unison at level 16 Healing Prayers. Especially on an Assassin who hits quickly.

the Charr... and the Stone Summit!

Yeh, i reckon should we have understod the intentions of the Mursaat our view on the Mantle and Mursaat would have been totally different. Possibly an alliance may have emerged, and now it could with "Utopia".
However. The Titans being so powerful may simply be a threat to the Mursaat and thus they sealed them up to be Supreme.
You choose.

Are there any other guildwars._________ domain names registered that people know about, that didn't become chapter names?
tre_peter
I'm sorry, I haven't see any concrete evidence as to how it will be called Utopia.
guildwarsutopia.com may be registered, but if it was by NC Soft or Arena Net, why would they allow alot of links to buy gold on it? Something they are against?
I'm assuming then that the Wiki was created in light of this domain. Again, hardly evidence.
I wouldn't be surpised if it's just going to be a new fansite (now with alot of publicity).

Ah, how did you get that info?
The should put up a simple cover page, to get rid of all those links.
