I think we need something special to commemorate our birthdays, not just a bunch of cash or weapons we could get any ol' day. Even with something as simple as the minis, you can only get them yourself on your birthday, with the small exception of the occasional special event. But then the people that would just prefer some cash or weapons for their birthday just sell their minis and put it towards whatever they did want so it works out.

minipet storage is easy; make a new tab in storage. 1 slot for each pet and put 1 pet in there (like stacks for materials) to make it accessible by account anywhere. (explorable areas get a new button or inventory slot to use mini pets in battle). Collecting made easy.

Im going to put in my two cents and say:
No new mini pets as the 2nd year b-day present.
I have nothing against mini pets and I wouldnt mind collecting new ones as they became available. However, something different would be nice, such as the idea of disguises (for one example).

Like horses we can ride in an explorable area? Maybe a really rare mount would be a flying dragon type? If they go ahead with the 2nd year BD present the actual gift box item will need to indicate that it is a "2nd year" present to avoid scammers trying to pass of a 1st year as a 2nd year.

And the toymaker obviously wouldn't work since they said minis will never be customized.

Introducing, Toymaker Fred! Just show him one mini bone dragon or any other rare mini, then sell it and buy another for only 100 gold! Making players rich and killing the economy in only a matter of days!

I think it should be something that shows your "Rank" or "Title" on your armor. Maybe a medallion or something like that. It would be nice if it was something that was functional as well and that you can't sell. Make people "earn" it. I still have my first two Characters from when the original came out and I think they should be rewarded as such.

As most people love miniatures why not implement an ...

just like Signet of Capture its a Signet you can just use once.
And you can use it, to just make a minipet of any target.
So you can make a mini pet of your favorite NPC, monster, yourself, any player,...

1. This would make those highly demanded miniatures like Panda (which costs >300 ectos) available to anyone who want one, just go and miniaturize a panda.

2. Its very personal, cause you choose which miniature you really want.

3. It brings the miniature hype to a new dimension. Collectors now need hundreds of miniatures.

4. If this idea isn't implemented for the 2nd birthday, then maybe for the 3rd ?

I really like this idea. it doesnt take up inventory space, it cant be sold and its unique. And the player has to undergo some kind of quest to get it, if he wants an extraordinary one. Only flaw...it doesnt glow

The pet should be customized.

I alos see the problem that players who bought a mini shiro fe payed a lot of money to get one and feel betrayed now. Also the CE owners.

Edit: Another idea for a new emote: juggling with balls in the professions color. Of course glowing balls

or not only balls, but knives in the case of assassins, spiral-thingies for mesmer, ankhs for monks, skulls for necros...

I imagine mini-pets go through some re-modelling/simplification or at least need a different script to control their actions against the "live" version, so I'm not sure how realistic this idea is. That said, the obvious way to avoid upsetting CE owners is to label "captured" pets white. Green versions would still be more valuable.

if more minipets, i say id love to have:

Mini Bladed Aatxe (been dreaming of 1 since minipets ame out) pref making it same size as mini titan, since real aatxe are so huge

Mini smites would be cool 2, so would be the siege worms
mini griffons
mini lich

and definately more storage (pref all cahracters)

emotes would be cool 2, the thing id love is something like dropping the urn/spear in factions and when they were dropped u had this "spirit" rise up and do its emote, that would be cool thing to have IMO and the emote should be of ur character for example

I think one of the musts is a name/appearance change tolkens, because for 1 some of us picked dumb names for their characters and want to change them, and second some of the appearances are not our first choice anymore(i've deleted more than a few characters because of the name or how it looks)Therefore it would be usefull to turn in a tolken than delete your work put into a character because of a dumb name!.

^Also they've stated the technical aspects of both of those is some what impossible with the current state of the game. It could probably be done but would involve rewriting massive amounts of code and a lot of time.

2 years: Old Timer
3 years: Geezer
4 years, 5 years...ect.

Or maybe a birthday present and when you open you can get something random. Anything.

Prefer not to have a miniature as it clogs up storage space.

But if we are to have mini's, then I'd like to have...

Wind Rider (So cute, my favorite creature. And they're shiny!)
Mursaat (Cause they float)
Bladed Termite (Odd little cute thingie)

NO NEW MINIs PLEASE. It's hard enough to collect them all and adding more will just take up more storage space. I do like the title track idea, and for the 2 yr mark maybe they should get something of value like another character slot or a PvP version of any campaign. But then again I do like the idea of a mini me pet which cannot be traded with other ppl but im sure that would be hard to render everytime u change armor sets.

OMG that was exactly my idea. With all the tunics we have seen during the holidays I wanted to propose a Perminate tradeable tonic that allows a player to change skins to a creature in town... Like Charr or Mursaut Or Centuars, something like that...

Another Idea would be to add a function to become the minipet instead of just showing it. So the item used in conjunction with any minipet makes you turn into that minipet full size in town. (not being able to attack obviously).. I like this even more then the first thought.

Cube of Avatar (Double click on and select a minipet {Like Identifying}) Becomes that creature in town.

OMG That would be SOOO cool for a 2 year birthday item.. OMG PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!

Another Idea from a LONG time ago. There was a suggestion Ages ago for Town Tunics (Civilian Clothes) for use while in towns, outposts, and guild halls. That could be used for Group gatherings and Alliance Identification. (Like the cape does for a guild)

But I like the cube of avatar Much much more!!!! And it makes a 2yr character very unique!!! And makes use of their original present too...

There are alot of ideas to come up with for new mini pets. True I agree, with most people who like to collect the different mini's there just is not much room to keep all the pets. If GW is wanting to make new mini's, having another storage tab like the material page in the storage would work wonderfully for the mini pets. I am amongst many others, who enjoy the mini pets would love to collect new ones...despite those who wish not to have more. Perhaps GW can make up two different types of gifts that a birthday player could pick once reciving a notice that it's thier players b-day and may type in one of the following commands to recive a gift of one or the other to open of thier choosing (blue gift which is known for the mini pet or a new gift, w/e the gift color may be with something else that the other players may prefer as the new B-day gift...exp: hats, items, ect.).

Here are a few of my ideas...

Mini Pets: Mursaat, Mad King, Dwanya, Grenth, Balthazar, Spider, Guardsman Oldrich

Misc ideas...

Weapon decor skins that can add more of a cutomized look to your weapon uniques. Sorta like a decal over w/e skin your weapon is. People want to look different this adds more uniqness. Someone has a same skin as another it can still look different cause of the decal that is placed on it. This item should be salvagable too in case someone no longer wants that weapon he can salvage it still risking loosing his item.

Hmm, 2 years, that will take 14 months for me.
By that time I want to be able to show off my amount of gathered experience in towns and outposts. By means of a never ending titletrack. 2 year old mules don't get anything this way as it should be for not actually playing.
This titletrack should stop people from calling somebody a noob when that somebody has like 5 million xp.

Having 5 million XP doesn't make you not a noob. You could have earned all that doing one thing, eg farming the Smite run (hint to W/Rt mania out there) and know jack-all about tanking or the elite-ownage-poWA of mending.

2 years old...hmmm

Why not some sort of bonus item displayable in towns and creatable/deleteable freely. Similar to the /bonus items, they would NOT be tradeable, and could be remade and deleted any number of times. Perhaps a special armor suit, or even a miniature.

Problem is, this thread is for suggesting birthday presents, not ways to show off how much xp you have. There have already been many threads about how that would result in unnecessary elitism and would just give people that farm uw/fow non-stop an unwarranted reward.

Please no new minipet, we really have enough of them and while i do enjoy them i still think we need something more solid as a birthday gift, for one thing it shoud be customized so that it stay's yours, and remains unique to that player only, not that a new lvl 2 post searing character with to much money can buy a bone dragon in ascalon, there's no fun in that.

I verymuch support the idea of a unique set of armor, one that is really cool, though i dont know if that is ever gonna work, also i like the idea of a weapon of choice entitled with your character name and choosable mods like hct 20%, hsr20%, 15^50, Hp+ 30 or sundering 20/20% which you only can choose 3 of one as inherent and 2 like any other green/gold weapon.

Then there's the suggestion to bring in some sort of a divine aura... well i own Prophecies CE and i would be kinde dissapointed to see a 2 year old with an aura that i have received with the expensive CE! (and getting rare to)

I just thought about another present, some sort of stolen armor item, in which you can deliver that to any armor trader and that trader offers you any character related max armor design, including obsidian but obsidian would cost you half the price in ecto's and shards.

Another option would be to well, get you back in pre searing with that character only, to give other players a fair game your attributes should be halved and most of your skills unusuable except for what is available in the pre, and ofcourse you'd be allowed back in the pre for 3 times.
