So after RP toon's go through the game on normal mode we can then enter hard mode and go through the game again and get new skin's possably hardmode armor?

Any possable chance of a special aura or something that shows you've beat hardmode or are going through hard mode kinda like hardcore for Diablo 2

As a dedicated player, griding and working hard towards my 'People Know Me' title, I was shocked when the hard mode was accidentally released a few weeks ago and I lost 3 of of protector titles!

I really counldn't be f#$%^&*ed doing all those missions all over again! Whats the point? I already know how they end!

Players with exisiting titles shouldn't be penalised by having to do them all over again, save that for people starting new characters.

It was bad enough grinding enough shards and ectos for FoW gear (the old version) and then finding thew NEW FoW gear is inscribable now! No way am I going to go and farm another million gold worth to get the same gear with an inscribable mod. At least make a system wide change that automatically updates each characters gear with the mod.

Lightbringer is a very tedius grind indeed... up just on 40k along and have approx another 5000 djinn to kill! Dont make it harder than what it already is please!

I like the idea of a more difficult mode of play, I love the elite misson when you can find people who have the ability to do them. However the lock pick idea? I thought GW was not a grinder. Already we spend hours getting lightbringer points so you can get accepted into a group in DoA. Now we have to spend more countless hours grinding out a lucky title or go broke buying keys at up to 1.5K per for a 300g item. Not to mention just spending forever getting a title which allowed you to salvage items without loosing half the item. Seems like you guys are just working on the Everquest model of make the game so they can never catch up. And with 9 characters... uhg.. Just getting tired after 19 months of this..

...It was made fairly clear that it would be possible in Hard Mode though. Think about it. After level 8 sunspear, the guys just stop giving you bounties. If you go out in hard mode, then they WILL give you the bounties. Pretty simple concept.

The fact of the matter is this:

We asked for harder PVE -- they gave it to us. As a side effect of things being more difficult, fewer builds are viable. Evolution In Action. I don't know how to say it more simply than that.

Yeah, so much to do in so little time. I still have several character to go through Nightfall in "Normal Mode". I do think Hard Mode seems to have potential, but I think it won't really attract that many players come late spring and summer.

I just like the fact that Anet tries to listen to its players and it seems they really make an effort into it. Like Afflicted explosions, which pretty much made the Assasin the worst choice for a Factions character, but outside Factions, it pwns. Updating this and other stuff like it will be appreciated. It looks there will be a major 'cleanup' coming.

So, um, why do we want to split Guild Wars' already splintered player base in half again?

...One of these days I'm going to stop being a hypocrite and buy one of those single player RPGs sans messed up MMOG economy that I always compare the current GW PvE experience to. Unfortunately, Bioware's been focussing more on consoles recently, so I can't think of too many good ones offhand.

My KOABD Title is made up of 3 Protector and 2 Explorer. I didn't earn them by whining. I didn't earn them with Ebay gold either. I earned them by playing the game like it was meant to be played.

And for the record, I'd rather be a 'whiner' or rather in this case, a critic with an opinion that has a rational basis, than a herd animal accepting whatever outrageous fortune throws at them.

I earned all three Protector titles too, and I'd much rather them be multi-tier. Protector x 3 are by far the easiest titles to max--they really should be brought in line with the rest.

going back to the old areas with higher levels will be fantastic. This makes the whole game worth exploring. Before ascalon, kryta,maguma and some say the desert was completely a waste once you hit 20 because drops sucked. Now they will be better and count towards titles? That's fantastic.

This does sounds brilliant, well worth the wait and should extend the lifespan of the game considerably (he says after playing it for 19 months now).

Just as a piece of wild speculation (and sorry if this has been mentioned), but could part of better Hard Mode drops be inscribable versions of Proph. and Factions weapons.

This would certainly drag me back to RoF to get that Magma Shield and Mursaat bow with inscriptions.

OOoooooo!!! So they are adjusting the monster ai reaction to AoE? This could be interesting. Maybe we will see less "follow the leader" battles in PvE. My own speculation is maybe Anet has figured out how to program "smarter" Ai? Perhaps enemy casters will now properly use defensive skills when they needed, or use allies to body block their escape, or the environment to block LoS, or Ai will not be so erratic in targeting priorities, or or or OR OR OR..... EEEK! the possibilities are driving me nuts!

LoL, anyway. All the other additions and gameplay mechanis being implimented sounds REALLY exciting. Can't wait!
