I think 75% of you guys really missed the boat on what we wanted as far as your captions for the armor went. Everyone pretty much took my model and just replaced some of the words, which wasn't what I wanted. I really wanted you guys to venture of and show me what you guys knew. I would never buy anything you guys would sell based on what you wrote alone. All of your descriptions totally ruin everyone's good shots, so we're dropping that part of the assignment.
Arala Starsong
Judge 1: Both of your pictures we're very surfer girl, which is good because you managed to capture that aspect from summer.
Judge 2: I like your picture's, the poses are fun and out of everyone's pictures, your choice backgrounds we're the one that works best for me, they're not too wild/exotic. They do look normal and average, and not out of the ordinary, which is best for commercial modeling, and this is a commercial shoot. You're selling to average, normal people, that would go to average, normal beaches, so good job appealing to the right demographic.
Judge 3: I love the fresh, breezy feel that I get from your picture. It's very demure, very relaxed and everything just works for a good commercial shot.
Beyoncee Knowlez
Judge 1: I would commend you on being original and bringing in a male model, but the fact that you didn't name him, might as well make him nonexistant. You broke the rule, so it pretty much cancels that out.
Judge 2: Asside from breaking one of our rules of not naming other characters you used in your shot, you look very hip, very appealing to a young crowd. And you have to understand from last assignment, you we're portraying a mother, and dressing like that is not appropriate. Yes, Gwen Stefani can be sexy, but that's when she's at work performing, she does not dress like that with her child. There's a time for play, and a time for work, and when we're asking you to portray a character, you need to get into that mindset. Not only did you disrespect our critique, but you made yourself not likable, and being a model, you need to have that. Real models get talked about all the time, take Tyra Banks for example, gets laughed at all the time because of her huge forehead. The industry will tell you to your face you have a crooked nose, uneven eyebrows, big ears, nasty chin, horrible bone structure, etc etc. As a model, you need to have a tough skin and keep up your public relations. Cause if you're going to be considered a "b*tch", no one is going to book you for a job, no one is going to hire you to endorse their products, and no one will buy your products. Models need to be likable and appeal to the majority, so I suggest you change it around, as Tyra would put it "if youre a b*tch, hide it".
Judge 3: I couldn't agree more, I find myself disliking you more and more each time. You even referred to yourself as a "villain", and I really want you think back to previous cycles of ANTM, let it be known, the b*tch of ANTM may go as far as the top three, but she will never win. Jade, Melrose, Renee, etc... having a good personality is just as important as being able to take good pictures...models need to be a triple threat, the three P's, performance (can you take good pictures?), personality(can you appeal to an audience?), and perserverance(can you roll with the punches?). As for your pictures this week, you broke the rule on the first one, so that does cancel out the fact that you wanted to stand out and have a male model, on the second picture, you look like your strangling yourself with your arm positioned like that on your neck covering it, so I don't care for either one.
Bierflesjes Klauw
Judge 1: I don't like your either of your pictures, you look stiff, especially in the first one with your hands being clinched like that.
Judge 2: I think your clothed picture is way too exotic, its not suited for commercial modeling. Everything is too much, I would've tone it down with the armor, definitely switch out the shoes and the shorts and went with the longer skirt, the background is way too exuberant, and there's two random red flags in it.
Judge 3: Yeah, the background choice is poor for the clothed shot, the bikini shot is very soft and elegant though.
Lokii Dia
Judge 1: I think your bikini shot is more striking than your clothed one, the clothed one is a little boring.
Judge 2: I think you had the perfect outfit as far as summer wear, but I have to say I agree with the boring pose...I think you could've found something more interesting. On the plus side, the shoes stands out for me, armor is great, but execution on the shot is poor.
Judge 3: I agree, I love the choice armor, but the pose is bland. You look lost and confused in the shot and that's exactly how the shot translate to me as a viewer.
Lunamaria Cruz
Judge 1: These shots are dreadful. It looks boring, very unintersting, I wouldn't buy anything with these being used for ads.
Judge 2: I particularly dislike the limp arm in the bikini shot. The shots are just so plain. If I we're to see any of these being used in a magazine, I would just pass it right up, they're not eyecatching at all.
Judge 3: Unfortunately, I agree with both of the judges and say this is very plain. Being simple isn't necessarily a bad thing, but when you're trying to sell something, simple just doesn't work.
Mila Fox
Judge 1: You lost the fire you had coming into this competition. These poses are average, very safe.
Judge 2: I would've liked you show more of your armor, you're body is facing the side, I lose view of the front of the top, you cropped the picture all the way up to your mid section, I can't see much of the skirt...what is this an ad for???
Judge 3: I agree, big mistake on just losing every aspect of the armor, you can't sell a shirt showing the side, unless there were some interesting cuts and trims on the side, which this doesn't have. The skirt is gone, I see a belt, maybe. This screenshot has no purpose.
Miss Melly

Judge 1: I love the colors, they really do stand out to me, but the screen is so long, and the poses are safe.
Judge 2: I would just say work on the posing, from what you sent to us, I understand the screen was lengthy because you added your captions to the armor on the top of your shot. The posing could definitely use some more punch. I almost want to say you blend in too much in your background.
Judge 3: I think out of everyone's description, I think you had some of the more well written ones, and I do agree that it was because you photoshopped some of your descriptions into your picture that made it so lengthy. I think if they we're cropped more, it would've been better.
Szei Ren

Judge 1: Definitely not my favorite shots from you, especially the bikini shot, you look like you have awful posture.
Judge 2: I don't like the bikini shot either, but I do like the clothed one, I think if you had slapped on some shoes, it would've been better though, in particular, the studded boots, that would've been hot.
Judge 3: I agree, if you had some boots on in the cloth shot, that would've made for a great shoes ad. It looks cute as it is now, but it could've been something more edgier with any type of shoes.
Alright guys, good luck to everyone, results will be posted later tonight.
