I can make it just about any day after 2-3pm eastern time

Hmm, I guess this Saturday looks like it won't work, so maybe let's try Sunday? I have work quite early on Monday so I won't be able to stay up too late, but I think a couple of hours should be enough. If we start at 1pm - 2pm east coast time (New York, Montreal) which would be roughly 5 hours later in GMT. Plus two hours for us living in Finland. :P Let's see who will be able to make it! We can always have a get-together again if it looks like more people will be able to make it some other time.

Haven't posted here in a while, both the in-game party and survival of the fittest things sound really fun though!!! I may be able to join in for the party, I haven't had much of a reason to get on guild wars lately, so that sounds pretty fun.

I wonder if I should try out for the Survival thing though.../ponder...

Also - I love some of the assignments that have been given this cycle, They sound really fun! And some of the shots you guys have gotten are amazing!

Ugh, I am having so much trouble with this assignment...I've taken several hundred pictures and it's just impossible to hide the aura...I wonder how Noa is doing on this...

This assignment was difficult i think, I wanted to use my vabbian armour but didnt because I've a feeling all my shots are turning out the same if i did use it. Ancient armour ftw? But yeh, silly kiddlies wont keep still for a pic lol.

The aura was a problem at first, but then I started getting better pictures and I became more confident, and in the end the problem wasn't the aura anymore, it was.. my character looking too hot to be a mama .

I loved this shot and would have used it, but I think Szei is showing too much n3kkid skin (half of my shots look like there's some child molestation going on, where did I go wrong >__>).

Oh, and it's kinda hard to get "fun&happy" shots when all the Canthan boys have such sour expressions, and Aiko just has a empty-brained look on her.

Why not Lions Arch? Lions Arch ID1 is pretty empty except for the occassional unided scammer. We held our alliance party there today. We could always meet there then figure out where to go from there.

Judge 1: This is an adorable picture, I like how your hands look like their holding each other, its very cute! I am extremely bothered with how bad the proportions are compared to the child, I'm surprised that almost half of you look so petite. I would've probably moved up a bit to make it look like the character was taller in comparison.

Judge 2: It's pretty, my biggest problem is that you're looking one way and the npc is looking the other, that's not something you can control, so I think this was a good attempt.


Beyoncee Knowlez



"In this photo, Beyoncee and her "daughter" Chitundu are looking at a few animals in the Plains of Jarin. They are both dressed in traditional Istani colors, only Chitundu's is a bit more traditional...while Beyoncee's is a little more - Beyonceified"

Judge 1: There are sexy mothers, like Gwen Stefani, she doesn't need to dress up like a hoochie mama to achieve that either. You should've toned it down, you look like a street walker, great, but at least your matching with your kid.

Judge 2: You definitely had a unique approach on taking this screenshot, this does look like you're a mother taking your child to the zoo and showing her animals. But you aren't dressed the part, and the execution for the shot isn't great. You look boring, the scene looks boring, but there is potential with your idea, I just think you executed the shot better than just standing in the back pointing.


Bierflesjes Klauw

Judge 1: I would easily say this is my favorite as far as choosing the right kid, however, it looks like your right boob is hanging out. Very innappropriate for your character as a mother. You're trying to be a good mother like Gwen Stefani, not a Britney Spears with her chacha hanging out.

Judge 2: I liked the choice of npc, you two look very similar, I have to agree, poor choice of armor, and picking a screen that looks so suggestive. Something that covered your whole top portion would've been best.


Lokii Dia



"There was also a joke between a friend and I, that the Vabbian children could be Lokii's children,if the father was Koss, so I took off on that idea. I imagine that Lokii and her son, for lack of a better name lets call him Kaohl, are gathering in Vabbi for a party. Mother and Son began to goof around for the camera making small fun of Koss by showing off their muscles. Lokii personally loves the smirk that her son has for this shot."

Judge 1: Unfortunately, your kid takes the spotlight on this one, not only is he Koss' love child, but he does have the dominant presence in the shot.

Judge 2: Very beautiful picture, you do look like mother and son, its very adorable. The idea was very cute as well.


Lunamaria Cruz



"You can see in the photo a woman hugging a child wich seems to have reached that age where most boys start to feel shy about theyre parents being still so affectionate in public because they don't wanna look like small children...thus the blushing expression on the boys face"

Judge 1: I think this is so cute! The explanation works and the pose is probably the best one for this week!

Judge 2: I really don't get the feeling that you're mother and son, but rather brother and sister. You look like an older sister trying to hug her little brother who is trying to run away from cooties. Its not because of the different skin color, i just don't get that motherly vibe. It's too playful in my opinion.


Mila Fox



"Mila & her child are dancing about and playing around whilst celebrating Lyssa together on that day, yes I realise that my submissions have had dancing involved but I think that the energy and enthusiasm from both Mila and the Child surely shows the fun-loving and mothering side."

Judge 1: You're becoming the next dancing queen in this competition unfortunately. Aside from that, the way/angle you took this shot, ,makes your butt/hips looks massive. I think you're best dress for the part, you look matronly, but the execution could use some work.

Judge 2: I don't like the way your head looks in the shot, your head looks attached to your shoulders. The chin to shoulder look is only good front view of the face, not the side view.


Miss Melly



"I wanted to depict the precious love between a mother and her child. The embracing pose with her child's head against her bosom signifies motherly comfort and love. I thought the red tiled background also added semblance of love."

Judge 1: This is the most endearing picture. This is truly a precious moment, I love it. Looks like your comforting your child after a bad day at school or something, its very sweet and adorable.

Judge 2: I like the way it kinda looks like your child is crying in your arms, it's very cute, this shot definitely captures the most emotion.


Mojave Mango Juice



"For my picture, I chose Mina, the little elonian girl from Tihark Orchard. Mina is just like her mother Mango, fun and full of energy. In this picture, Mango and Mina have entered a Mother/Daughter dance contest at the Festival of Lyss."

Judge 1: I'm not sure why I'm not getting that excitement that I saw in the application pictures, I look at those and I look at the competition pictures, and they look like two completely different people took these shots. We know there's more you can do, but us knowing it doesn't account for us not seeing it.

Judge 2: Exactly, its not that you do bad, its just that you are our safe player this year. You've done ok, and continually to do ok, you're not stepping up for us. If we don't get that jolt from you, you're just gonna count down to elimination when being ok isnt good enough.


Szei Ren



"Szei and the boy are spectators at some event, most likely a game or competition of some sort. They are both feeling excited and ready to cheer for the winner "

Judge 1: I'm particularly glad that you did tone it down, we saw pictures that you took with the npcs before, and it was horrible. We weren't sure if you we're just playing around or not, but you left the jug focus item on, and that could really be taken the wrong way. So I'm just pleased that you we're aware of looking like a mother in the submission.

Judge 2: This is a cute shot, to me, it almost look like you're watching snails racing, as you said, spectators at an event!
