If you know your friend broke into a computer store a few days ago, and then is offering a free brand new laptop, you gotta wonder. My only concern is in regards to buying/selling armbraces. I'd love to grab a tormented weapon at a discount, but I'm uneasy about dabbling with tainted goods ( and for good reason.) I'm assuming you get whacked for being an secondary agent in this "scheme", but It'd be ironic if the good players who sat on their hands and waited the storm out missed out on the bandwagon.
Note:Though I'm loathe to admit it, There was a similar incident to this one a number of years ago in Runescape. I don't want to start a discussion on whether it's a good game, worth playing ,etc ( I played it b/c I was younger and strapped for cash). For those who can't recall an incident like this in another MMO, here's how it played out:
1. Dupes flood the economy
2. Players Panic/whine
3. Here be bannings
4. Good players sit on the sidelines/ destroy black market goods knowingly
5. Gamblers say "RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO it" and buy up illicit stuff as rare items plummet in value
6. Dupes never leave market, exploit fixed, bad guys win in the short to long term as the market adjusts slowly.
I'm hoping personally that armbraces get traded in for "Necklaces of Intregity" or "Shackles of Honesty" to remove them from the market and supersede the Armbrace.
