Mallyx with your heros
Free Wind
Killed Mallyx today with 4 people, 4 heroes.
All DoA areas can be done with this build.
Took us 20 minutes to finish the citadel

What he forgot to mention was that the 4 people needed only 1 skill and that the team can be made up with 4 people from any profession.

Congrats
Took us 25 mins with 4 heros (also works with 6 heros)

So you just all go Ursan Blessing? Did the monk do that as well, relying on the hero monk and rits for healing?
Ciladis
Yes, the monk (me) had Ursan Blessing too. At rank 8 Lightbringer/Norn Ursan Strike does 190 damage so 4 people spiking the same target = gg

Can you tell a bit more about the 4 others there. I can see the tank build with the 3 heroes. Can you share the rest pls and att pts if possible. Have to give this a try later on as it seem interesting when you say that all 5 areas can be cleared that way. specialy since all DOA is not MIA

As Ciladis said - 4 people with Ursan blessing is all you need. Doesnt matter how will you set your attribs
As for my heroes - Razah had 14 Spawning, 13 comm; Xandra - 14 restoration, 13 Spawning, General - 14 motivation, rest into leadership and tactics

Actually, it does matter how you set your stats. Full into your classes primary attribute, as it really helps for some classes (ele, necro, para, sin).
Squishy ftw
Nice job on getting mallyx down I'll sure remember the ursan hint when our guild decides to give this a shot.

I wasnt hitting much with my axe, so niether Axe Mastery nor Strength would benefit me, our Monk didnt heal so, none of his attributes would help, you gain energy when deal or get damage while in form, and during fight you have plenty of it so necro also doesn't benefit much from soul reaping while in form. All Ursan skills are free in terms of energy, so having 80 of energy or 20 doesnt change anything for ele either.
Attribute distribution here doesn't matter

This looks fantastic, best part is that it doesen't matter what profession you go
How important are the consumables? Are they needed or do they just speed things up?

wow grats on that, I been having a hell of a time doing Ravenheat gloom with my mes,
Could you let us know the Hero Monk build too then?
woudl love to give this a try, though i would need to find two other people to play it, or find decent heroe builds to replace the lost ursan ones

Attribute distribution here doesn't matter Just saying, for those classes, they might as well put 12 in their primary, because it does help with keeping Ursan up. I know that sometimes as a Warrior with only 20 energy I can have a little trouble keeping it up unless I'm the target of a couple of guys.
In regards to consumables, I would say Essence of Celerity would be the most "needed," as making Ursan skills recharge 25% faster is a fair increase in damage.

A quick couple of notes if using this:-
1) Health is probably the most important the more the better so no sup runes. (they not needed anyway)
2) A zealous sword/axe really helps keep the form up. Just by swinging at creatures my energy was at max most of time for the 13 minutes it took to clear the waves at the priest.
3) The hero monk build was just a standard LoD/prot hybrid

question do you still have to kill the groups of margos etc first and if so... did you tank them down at gate?
Ciladis
Yes, you still have to kill the waves. There is no pulling, luring, flagging and especially tanking involved it is all one big slaughterfest in the "arena". No healing or bonding of priest needed.
All that is required is that someone has knowledge of the groups as killing certain creatures will spawn others. Also, when killing a titan finish of all its spawns before engaging another.

Just to be clear, you still need heroes to heal the party as it fights, right? Or am I missing something about Ursan Blessing that also heals you as you fight?
Wynthyst
It's nice that you have been able to kill him, any chance that you'd be willing to share the actual builds and strategies you used??? I mean the pictures are nice an all, but meh, it only shows the skill bars for 3 of the heroes, and doesn't deal with the builds for the rest

You'll need some healers but they don't need to be top notch since Ursan Blessing turns casters into warriors and warriors into wurm as far as armour is concerned

Wow, boys...

I thing I will enjoy this weekend with my guildies.

The picture shows everything you need.
4 people with 1 skill - Ursan Blessing. Spread attributes as you like
1 Communing Ritualist. 14 Spawning, 13 Communing
1 Restoration Ritualist. 14 Restoration, 13 Spawning
1 Motivation paragon. 14 Motivation, 10 -11 leadership, rest goes into tactics
1 Hero monk: 10 prot, 12 heal, rest - divine
Dunkoro build was LoD, Signet of Rejuvination, Dwaynay's Kiss, PS, Cure Hex, healing ribbon (i guess), dismiss condition, rezz
"Strategy". meet up every group as they come.
Group 1: Kill KI monk first. Then casters, then rest
Group 2: Kill 2 Fury Titans last
Group 3: Kill Turtureweb Dryder last
Group 9: (if i am not mistaken) Kill Dryder first, then Titans, then Riders
Other groups - kill them as you like
When assault is over, get inside and start killing Mallyx. Kill the groups he summons. Finish him

It does. See screen

Yes guild has been using Ursanway in foundry quite successfully. It's lame but fun apparently.
Whirlwind
Fun ftw=p god forbid lol.
Not The One
This is really good news,I have not done any DoA runs lately since staging
has become a ghost town.Gonna get in there before they nerf the hell out of
it.

tho its a bit lame its hilarious... did same sorta build with 8 peoples 2 n/rit healers and 1 LoD monk the rest was running around ursan and slashing all to bits and pieces.... Mallyx in 23 mins roflmao
L|S >+>+G+<+<
might aswell nerf it, its too easy, same can be said for hos cr which others decided to nerf because they didnt like it. >.>
wouldn't be surprised if it's the same poeple who said nerf hos cr that use this build once they find it.

wow, this build is utter ownage, we had a lil prob at cave in gloom, but otherwise, wow,
yesitsrob
it's too mindnumblingly easy for sure, but such can be said about a lot of the pve skills - I think it's pretty fair to say Ursan bear is pushing it a bit though
Ciladis
Yes, it is mindnumbingly easy it is certainly a "Brawn over Brains" build. It almost feels like cheating when you do it.
However, the two good parts about is that it will enable all the forgotten charcaters who aren't part of the "Holy Trinity" build to complete DoA. And that is better than the "mindumbingly" boring time playing obi tank/bonder build

And that is better than the "mindumbingly" boring time playing obi tank/bonder build lol, i've killed mallyx a total of 37 times, and done all the zones so many times over and over, with that same effing build, i knew what i was talking about when it came to builds down there, yet still people shunned any new ideas, para tank for example, no one would take me, although i was better with my para than any warrior......well, i ramble alot so i'm just going to get to my point, people refuse to think outside the box, which hurt alot of people who love there mes or ranger or etc alot when it came to doa, but now that this is out, it's great.....if they don't wanna accept this build and continue to refuse to think outside the box they're wasting their time, meanwhile i'll be owning mallyx with heroes.

Even with Ursan, I still hate DoA so much. It's just bearable now, and actually doable without being part of the trinity.
