What was your first profession *combination*?
jon0592
Likely a sister thread to those regarding professions but in this one I want to know not only what was your first profession, but which secondary you chose and why.
For me, I started a Ranger. My friend who introduced me to the game told me about an "uber" good mesmer skill, Conjure Phantasm. I was convinced. Monsters would degenerate to death and I didn't have to do anything!! So, I went with R/Me and my bar looked a little something like this.
(Mind you there are no attributes xD)
Power Shot, Conjure Phantasm, Chaos Storm, Ether Feast, Power Drain
So, what was your first profession combination and why?

I chose Warrior/Necro in the Betas as my first combination.
Thought it was a good combination and Life Siphon kept me alive pretty good.
Especially on my way to Lion's Arch, and in the missions i was the tank, that almost never died^^
I think I had as many as possible points in blood magic, and maybe none in any of the Warrior-attributes
At that time there were "Attribute refund points" and you couldn't just change your build in a seconds.
You had to gain XP to be able to change your attribute points.
Was a fun time.
Here a screenshot of my (lvl 12) skillbar when I reached Lion's Arch (still in the Betas):
(I know, quite nooby, but at that time there were no wikis, or build pages^^)
I think that was my 2nd character. A Ranger/Ele
I was very impressed of the damage of Flare and Firestorm. I used mainly my secondary skills

N/E, I really wanted a necro but fire is so freaking cool! (I was 13 at the time).
Yeah, I ran Fireball and Meteor Shower as well as Blood skills. It was pwnz0r.

Warrior/ranger
I used to play with some points in wilderness survival, for troll unguent and apply poison. The rest was some sword attack skills and res signet. It wasn't so terrible, compared to some other newbie builds.
And my ranger (main char) started a week later as r/mo, but I don't remember the skills.

Targuil
I had N/Mo with deadly swarm, mending and healing breeze. Needed some healing. Didn't know about minions lol. And vampiric gaze ofc.
Zeek Aran
W/E. I was roleplaying... didn't last long in GW though. I was a pyro sword user. Atleast I wasn't wammoing.
Risus
First build...R/Mo!
I basically put everything in Marksmanship and Wilderness Survival.
Skills:
Power Shot
Dual Shot
Sundering Attack
Splinter Shot
Kindle Arrows
Troll Unguent
Healing Breeze
Resurrect
Quite nooby now that I review it.
First PvP build was an ele with all the starter air skills XD.

Necro was my first character, but I don't remember what second profession he was. I remember my warrior (second charactr) was /e though.
Bryant Again
Oh, and my Necro was a N/W because I wanted to hit stuff with swords...
God I sucked, but I got a good excuse!

Crom The Pale
My first was a War/Ranger so I could run with a pet. Didnt know how pathetic pets on wars were at that time
lacasner
My first ever was a ranger, and i took r/mo so i could use bane signet and power shot things like a pro. Hehe, good times
Squishy ftw
W/Mo. Yup, I was a real one. I remember running heal area until a guildy pointed out to me that (as a warrior) I was also healing the enemies with it
Tal Deathshade
My first was a E/Mo because in every other game I started out as a melee class so I wanted to switch things a bit. I like the idea of using lightning to kill enemies and being able to res my allies. Then I deleted him after 3 days on to try out the warrior which turned to be my primary character ever since...
xReLx
lol squishy.
I made a R/W
Endure Pain,Sprint,Power Shot
Sigh :3

My first ever character was a W/N! I still have him as my main character now, over two years later. Although now he has a choice of all the secondary professions and has completed all the campaigns.
Malice Black
N/Ele
I used a combo of Death/Blood/Fire
Good days lol

http://www.answers.com/topic/salubri
And now she has a white wolf too. Just for the fun of it.

R/E with firestorm lawl didnt find out about expertise until i got past lvl 13 ish
cosyfiep
e/mo and she still is (I dont change my secondaries, only 2 of my toons have done it--one because she wasnt using anything from her 2ndary and I wanted to get all the paragon skills unlocked, and my paragon didnt use hers so she wanted /rit which wasnt available until after she finished noob island).....I have one rit that used different 2ndaries for some screen shots, but he is back using his original /w.
I guess I am just really old school.....when they gave us the option of changing secondaries I had already made new characters up with them so I saw no reason to change those (I made 3 mesmers so I could have different 2ndaries....and use different attributes too). I have more fun creating new characters than buying skills for the ones I already have .

I had used a N/E in the last beta event, but I never got out of presearing. After release I made a N/Me using some mesmer hexes because I figured they would compliment necro hexes, lol.
RPGmaniac
I went /Monk because I wanted to be able to heal my party members too with my ranger. I ran a really silly bar up through the jungle:
[skill]Power Shot[/skill][skill]Penetrating Attack[/skill][skill]Troll Unguent[/skill][skill]Comfort Animal[/skill][skill]Charm Animal[/skill][skill]Healing Breeze[/skill][skill]Orison of Healing[/skill][skill]Resurrect[/skill]
I specced in Marksmanship, Wilderness Survival, Beast Mastery and Healing Prayers. Yes, I thought Expertise was completely useless. Eventually I stopped using HB and used [skill]Apply Poison[/skill] instead. I think around the desert or even the southern shiverpeaks I decided to try out Expertise...
I still use R/Mo, but almost exclusively for [skill]Rebirth[/skill] which has been my savior many many times in PvE.

Solovei
E/Mo for me, though I guess I lot of people started with that.
I never got very far on that character, though (She was like, level 5 in Pre)
So I deleted and I now play a N/Me :3 Much better, no need to worry about elements anymore!

Squishy ftw
I just went through my screenshot folder lol. These are some of my old time beauties.
I know, I've always been good at making kick ass builds
And no, I dont use these anymore
So yes /mo as secondary pretty much owns PvE, no? altho my first switch was to /E, for the obvious reason(stoneflesh aura).
My current secondary is /P for enduring harmony Longer DS spamming = win

W/R back in beta. I wanted to have range and be able to go melee when things got close... Damn was I a newb lol.
Mr Emu
Well, i don't remeber which was first, but i had a N/R and a W/E back in the day. N/R was ofc Minion/Pet and the warr was fire/sword. In my defense, back before the AoE nerf Phoenix and Lava Font were decent on an adren warr.
mr_groovy
E/N Fire storm + minions == gg /sigh
Proff
First character was a E/Me which seemed to work well together in pre, but the farther I got in the game the less mes skills I ended up using
Mace Gridlock
I ran a N/E pre aoe nerf
It was a mm/metoer shower firestorm combo, worked well back in the day.
stuff died fast.

Originally going blind into buying the game I thought I would get more strength/damage/stats for being part warrior

Edge Martinez
Mo/Me. The Mesmer chick was right outside ascalon and I wanted to get to post searing asap.
Age
My first way back in beta was not my Monk but a Warrior which just happens to be the first char I made up although someone took the name. The combo was like this W/N.
I used sever, gash,x skill, heal sig, life siphon.deathly swarm and bone horrors.I soloed all around post Ascalon with this didn't know about henchies in beta.I was PvPing to much as I didn't have enough time to explore the rest of the world.

Vamis Threen
Originally went W/Mo cos I could understand. But I didnt have enough energy to run brilliant spells like mending, watchful healing and vital blessing (note 3 different lines) so I went E/Mo. Couldn't figure why those beastly Necros could kill me with a single spell for ages, though......
