I kinda like that Photoshop edit, looks really nice. Why couldn't ANet make the hats glow like in the original designs? That would have looked so much better.

Crown could be at least spikey upwards and white.......edit nvm just saw this....I wish this was real.
The Wreath is okay, not great but okay. At least it has a lot of details.

My opinion:
- the wreath is very very nice, very detailed, fits perfectly on female chars.
- the crown is not that bad, I think that what ruins it is the grey colour of the ice which gives a dull appearance, maybe they could try to change it ...

the crystals on the current one look a lot like very dull jade....
easy improvements to make the the best wintersday hat ever...
1 make the spikes point upward
2 try to give it a glassier look make it reflect light (not so easy) so as you turn different spikes reflect in different ways and this would give it the glowy look
3 get rid of the metal rim....make it fur and make that part of the hat dyeable...
i was excited when i saw the designs...they didnt even try to copy it though at least they got the basics from it

On my character, the Wreath Crown sits so low that it covers up her entire forehead and her eyes are just on the edge of the bottom, so it looks a little strange.
As for the Ice Crown, I'm amazed that people are complaining this hard about it. As for the color problem, well, Glacial Gauntlets are the same color and those are supposed to be "ice". I remember when Glacial Gauntlets first appeared during the Eye of the North preview event, and people were hoarding Glacial Stones like they were the new ecto.
I guess that when something is easily obtained and free, then people will complain loudly how ugly it is. But if it is rare and expensive, then people hoard it like no tomorrow.

The glacial gauntlets are actually a bit transparent and look like ice. The crown...does not.

Upier way many pages back, that wreath looks really silly on your head.
I agree with most about the crown, nice try but try re-texturing it Anet so it's a bit more like ice and..not whatever it is now.
Pretty okay on the Wreath but it's kind of odd too.
