These are just general questions that I have been thinking about and if anyone has any inputs on this or knows anything about these questions please post!

1. What other changes will there be besides just changing how alot of skills work (if there are any)?

2. Because Gaile Announced it a month before, do you think it will be pretty big balance changes?

3. Are there any ideas about what they think will be changed?

At the very least nerf Ursan so that we see more variety in PvE instead of W/Mo and Mo/any.

"Pre-nerf" is incorrect. It's pre-buff.

I hope they announce when the patch will go live. I'm death-levelling during the nights and the game updates roll out at around midnight GMT. Once a new patch is out, it's not possible for me to reconnect which means that I spent 40 minutes luring 15 Charr for nothing.

1. Most likely just skill balance and some dumb ass interface change or addition.

2. Can't bet on Anet, size does not matter, quality does however.

3. Um skills mostly relating to how they are used in PvP formats...

They could make Necros more attractive in PvP. Not likely to happen.

GW is old and they could still do a lot. But they could also just stop and let it be instead of experimenting again.

Either make massive and major changes or just let it be. Always reacting on the current GvG meta or nerfing HA builds does not really make the game better.


I wonder what they will do in regards of PvE consumables and PvE skills that make the game very easy.

I keep hoping for a interface change that makes subtargetting better. Truly the biggest hurdle for newer players to step into the pvp arena is the piss poor targeting system that GW has. All of the better players have learned to deal with it, by subtargetting, but outside of that, newplayers dont have a clue and are always running around lost in a 8v8 arena because they cant find thier target in time.

Perhaps make it to where a subtarget
a) doesnt overcall the main target.
b) Maybe create a new window for subtargets, two at most (I hardly find any mes or ranger that can watch more than two targets, three sometimes)
Assigning a target by ctrl +1 and ctrl +2
c) doesnt show up on the other players screen so does not interfere


but what do I know, Ive just been playing this game for 31 months

Press the restart button on your computer
GW will count this as a disconnection and when you launch GW again you will DL the patch and be reconnected.
Atleast last time I checked this is how it works.

Not really A-nets been so secretive about a balance update, probably because they know there not doing it big

Maybe some PvE stuff, some bug fixes or something

probably a few monk nerfs and a few monk buffs

How about adding the health bars of opposing team like in observer mode??

I guess that may make it tooooo easy....Not sure. It would make life easier finding who is running low on health and needs a spike

You can't reconnect to your session if there's a patch to download. If there isn't a patch to download, you can do the restart thing or kill the GW.EXE process.

Definate no, seeing entire party and seeing which target is low and needs spike will definatly start to make warriors lazy and begin removing battlefield awareness from them.

Even the subtarget idea I suggest would start serving to that effect, but a lot of times when I take a low ranked person in tombs and ask them to do something, they have trouble getting back to thier target quickly after a spike, especially if i want them watching two people.

I know I will be flamed for this, but:

I hope A-net nerfs Signets of Illusions working on PvE skills, two main reasons:

1. It's unfair on all other proffessions who must grind just to get some effect from them skills, saying Mesmers are bad in PvE is far far from a good excuse.

2. People will stop using real Mesmer skills, and soon that whole Vanguard/Greatdwarfweapon stuff will be the Mesmer "cookie cutter" for lack of a better term, I'd rather see a build that atleast uses Mesmer skills as that position.

Not that I see anything wrong with SoI itself, it's a very interesting skill, as opposed to PvE skills with were a shit idea anyway, badly implemented as well.

I know A-net will not do this since they will cave into all the noob Mesmers who think they have no options of PvE. But I though I might share my unwanted views with you.

CTRL+ALT+DEL, Gw.exe => Kill process. Restart GW.

I'm really curious on what they'll nerf... and buff, if happens o.o. Hoping for pet un-nerf but maybe I'm hoping too much, that and normal SR timing.

SoI is an illusion attribute skill. If a person wanted, they could go as a secondary mesmer and use it on their pve only skills. They won't be able to put 16 pts in illusion, but they'll still be doing very well with the 12 pts.

Most PvE mesmers don't use SoI religiously. Its generally used for gimmicky builds in PvE. Its not really in need of a nerf.
