Why that would be proof when you can easily deny it and say you're someone else is beyond me. Then again, you did call someone a kid yet ran to the moderators when you were called an 8 year old. Not quite stopped laughing at that.

Of course I can deny that an IGN is mines. If it is, I'd have a hell of a hard time dealing with the flood of PM's.

You don't need to broadcast your IGN to PM someone else. His is right next to his avatar. Which brings me back to my first point. BECAUSE yours isn't broadcasted, it is very easy for you to deny any name he throws out there.

I did the quests, got the fortunes, used them, 0 rats. So I bought one for 24k..not too too bad considerate i see price as high as 100k +5e

I'm not going to count how many fortunes I've used because I want to stay happy, but two characters have done the quests, and no rodent yet. Although I did just feed a rat to my snake. But that was in real life. A starry, pixelated version would have made me very unpopular. Perhaps it has affected my rat-gaining karma, though.

I was going to skip the event on general principle, but I caved and took 3 toons through the quests (once you start...). No rat. I wound down with some rollerbeetle racing (which I'd never really bothered with and it turns out it's very cool, if slightly manipulated). Exchanged VT's for around 180 Fortunes by the end of the day. Still no rat.

I has to be somewhat common (not 0.33%) I personally believe that its 1 or even 2 percent in chance to achieve the pet, which definitely makes sense when i look at all of these people who got it in 50-100 tries.
All those who haven't gotten one yet, try and save all your fortunes and open a lot of them at once...instead of using them as soon as you get a chance... My hunch, as previously stated, is that the lucky aura(which has an unknown ability at the time) has to deal with the chances of a mini rat dropping.
Remember to all those gettin it, the prices are dropping to get them and by the end of the event they might be around 5-10k to get

Went through 530+ worth of lunar tokens and no rat. I frankly would have been better off selling each stacks for people's offers of 18-20k and then buying the rat rather than participating with all this nonsense.
So, no celestial pig, and now no rat. Anet can take it's new years event and @%#! off. I'd have frankly been better off, and had more fun just farming the UW rather than go through this aggrevation. Bah.

3 toons went through all quests, then I got ~250 tokens through rollerbeetle (thank god I don't suck too much at those) which gives what? 450 + 250 = 700 tokens (I got some fortunes using paper scissors game ) so I assume I opened about 240 fortunes.
No rat. fantastic.
No more ways to get tokens either, since I can't be asked to do anymore racing, not mentioning making a new char and leveling it up to level 10!
And I really hoped for a rat this year, since I opened 300 odd last year and finished with no pigs. ~~

Weird. I only did 4 quests, got 100 tokens, exchanged them for fortunes (by that time I had no idea about the odds of getting one), opened my 33 fortunes and got the rat on one of them. 
So i guess I should consider myself lucky.

Lunar fortune tokens give me only rubbish, I have had enough.
It was said that we have 0,33% chances to get the celestial rat .... my foot!

250+ fortunes... no rat. Now I'm out of characters and I think my wife wants me to rejoin the real world so I gave up and bought one for 20k. Looks like all that incidental cash from my farming the Lightbringer/Sunspear titles came in handy.
