Anything in GW that you don't want to see in GW2?

Lol QQing is what makes forums fun. I love to see people QQ. I laugh my socks off when people QQ over nerfs and updates to skills. All my life I have laughed when people QQ especially females. I think QQing shows weakness and I am a strong person so QQing just makes me laugh. I think my mother made me that way cause everytime she beat me she would say "don't you cry or I'll give you something to cry about" so, I never cried and learned to laugh at pain instead. lol

That said, I also don't want to see smart-ass Asurans in the sequel.

Depends on who's psychology you define as NORMAL. I live in the I'm Ok, You're Ok world, which one do you live in. <grin>
I actually went to one of those head doctors once and you know what he said? "You're Insanely Normal". <grin>

Crap like Ursan Blessing. Giving us overpowered PvE skills (we're off the Ursan topic here) doesn't mean we're happy, it just means we do stuff more easily. Remember how so many people were saying 'Improve the AI for HM but don't push the numbers up much'. So what did Anet so?

I don't even like the sound of this "companion" bs. I want my dedicated heroes I can outfit and deck out in powerful gear and go stomping through the zones looking for the all elusive next piece of POWERFUL gear to wear or put on my hereos. GW is so boring without anything of power to upgrade to. I can't get into VANITY FAIR type stuff. That's girly stuff when you play for VANITY.

Anyway, separate skillset stats for PvE and PvP would be interesting, but confusing. Not sure how well it would work in all honesty. What I want the most to be included is for there to be less overall weapon drops, especially "white" and "blue" type drops that were rampant in GW1. Weapons need to be scarcer, but not impossible to find a perfect one. Essentially it would be a system closer to WoW's, but still like GW1 in which it is possible to get perfect weapons semi-easily.
"Green" weapons are fine only if the droprate scales with the amount of human people in a party.

I'd feel sorry for you Master if I wasn't 100% sure you are just poorly requoting terribad song lyrics for attention.
I personally don't want everything under the sun ending up on wiki official or otherwise, make everyone figure it out for themselves, especially PvP.

I don't want to see any GRIND in GW2!!
I don't want to see anyone yelling to sell me gold at whatever.com.
I don't want to see people trying to negotiate trades in global chat FFS give us an auction house.
I don't want to see the skills I worked years to unlock sold to fresh noobs for $20 in a PVP pack.
I don't want to see changes to the basic game mechanics ruin my toon after I've tuned my armor/weapons or capped specific skills etc.
I don't want to see lack of game balance that requires constant nerfs and encourages the prevalence of meta determined cookie cutter builds in all aspects of the game.

Dependencies on Monks: I don´t want to be forced to at least take two monks with me, because my self heal sucks. Monks should not be the main source of healing, they should support the self heal of the other classes. Then at least we can give Monks the same damage ability like the other classes.
Make every class able to deal serious damage and support the group.

Like the old playstyle in Pre-Searing, Which you can just go out alone(not entirely cause the place won't be that much instanced anymore^^, Yay!).
So if you can just go solo alone surely all Classes can be Independent.
And their is a Companion System if you need assistance without the help of other players.
So you can just stay at the Back Healing or Nuking^^.
And Monks can Smite remeber....

Oh, and I want a good selling/buying system. As far as what is current in Guild Wars that I don't want in GW2; that would be a high end chest dropped a semi-rare item (purp)

Levels. I don't want to see numbered Levels in GW2 that negate content and segregate players. . . I'm hoping for something far more original and "Outside the Box".
Alex the Great
pve only skills
everything instanced (maybe 50/50 instance/persistance)
and someone above commented on "insta-max pvp toons" they anounced they wouldnt be there for world pvp, but everone is max for structured pvp

It’s like:
Me: Hey sweetie, I have to become “A Friend of the Kurzicks” in order to continue on. Can you help me for a while?”
Hubby: Uh, I hate grinding through that forest. I am going to get my “Friend of the Kurzicks” status through Fort Aspenwood PvP. See ya later.
----------------------------------------------------------
Me: Oh, you need that elite skill too! Yay! Lets go through Elona to the Gates of Pain to get it together, ok?
Hubby: Uh…I was just going to play a few rounds of random arena until I had enough points to unlock it and then buy a tome.
Me: But you don’t even like PvP!
Hubby: But it’s better than slaving all the way through those missions to get the skill. I don’t have to bother anymore. See ya later.
Me: Oh…
---------------------------------
Then there’s “nerf,” “nerf.” nerf,” “nerf,” “nerf,” “nerf,” “nerf,” “nerf,” nerf,” “nerf,” “nerf,” “nerf!”
Then a PvPer insults me by telling me that it’s ok that I have been nerfed because I can just spend 8k more gold to remake my character, whereas for him a change his character, it would be much more costly and difficult. Wait a minute! Is he talking about his rl character or his toon?
Yeah, I could do without PvP.

Noone forces you to grind titles?

Titles. That's all they need to leave out .
Maybe for the people who really need to have something to be proud of you can keep the titles based on completing a campaign, but that's pretty much all .

Yeah they should get rid of mesmers, assassins and Paragons. They just aren't that useful or NEEDED for the missions an adventures. |
You want to know what class seems useless? Ritualists. And I'm not calling for them to remove the class. I've been playing with a Ritualist for a couple weeks now and I can't do much with him.
God damn, you mother RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOers piss me off. This entire thread is filled with garbage posts.
Titles? Very few of them are useful, so what's the big deal? Unless I missed it, no one has actually written out a reason to why they should be removed... Would one of you players who has so much anger about titles give an explanation, please? For the record, I could care less about titles. I still don't see a reason to remove them.
PvP... Whoever said that PvP should be removed is a moron, honestly. I don't mean to be so rude, but that may be the dumbest suggestion I've ever seen. Ever look at the title of the game, idiots? The PvP system is the biggest thing this game has over any other RPG/MMO. Obviously they're not going to remove it, but still... I think anyone that suggests removing it really needs to RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO off and find another game.

Get rid of titles too, just pointless grind that we all know is stupid but somehow we go crazy trying to grind them anyway.

Remove PvE Titles. Give me back my GW the way it was when only Prophecies was there.
Titles turned the game into a grind fest. While it is true no one is forced to grind for titles, a large number of players are dedicating a huge portion of their time doing just that, thus; effectively reducing the number of players available to do something more coopertaive in the game. Most titles need no skill, just time and dedication. A half brained monkey with cerebral pulsy can do Dungeon "X" a million times to max out Title "Y" given enough time.

Survivor title.
Mainly because it discourages team play in non-elite areas, and makes veteran players (working on a survivor attempt) less likely to help new players. (I have been guilty of this myself a few times...)
Also because of frustration caused by losing your survivor title because of lag or something similar.

hmm, think this might be a long list.
1) i would like an absolute seperation of PvP and PvE. failing that, return to how it origionally was conceived, where you HAD to complete PvE to PvP.
2) remove all grind based titles. accomplishment titles i have no issue with - protector/guardian, skill hunter.... um. yeah, think those are the ONLY accomplishment based titles...
---------------------
3) rework the class structure. we only need the origional six classes.
warriors - axe, sword, hammer, scythe and spear mastery. command, tactics, strength.
necromancers - minions, curses, sacrafices, spirits. all the realm of undeath.
monks - healing, prot, restoration, motivation. let the healers HEAL
rangers - expertise, beast mastery, wilderness survival, marksmanship, dagger mastery, deadly arts. they all seem to fit...
elementalists - well, if it's elemental based damage (channeling as a good example of skills where they don't belong) it's their realm, no?
mesmers - all the mindbending shit they do now, with weapon spells being in their line as well (make the baddies believe that your weapon does something else).
-------------------
4) would like to see the end of PvE skills - or if they don't seperate the PvP/PvE (and i don't expect they will) make the PvE skills completely profession dependant, not title dependant.
5) we need an auction house, or a marketplace. anything would be better than the current system.
6) same idea, but recruitment centres. if you need a guild, visit a centre, find out what guild suits you.
7) in game voice chat. should have happened long since.
8) have a mix of persistence/instancing. and keep loot assignment, to prevent theft and griefing.
9) a wider range of weaponry would be nice, too. one handed hammers, two handed swords/axes. make staves melee range weapons, if a caster decides to attack. wands should only be spellcasting, no c-space attacking.
10) no more uniformity in pets. different pets do different things.
11) less of the grindfest that HM is - we need more intelligent enemies (see eotn and secondaries on the charr) not just faster, higher HP, and more of them.
12) take away the ability to run the game - gates you actually have to touch yourself to pass through should do this nicely.
13) IF they keep the hench system (i'd like to see heroes dropped altogether) they ought to be bought for the duration, not loot theiving freaks. like, for a mission, to have X Y and Z hench, you pay them 50-100g each, for the duration. but have the henches have secondaries, for crying out loud. even the preset PvP style builds where you had paladins, interrupt/condition ranger, etc.
14) If they go with full persistance, and allow ganking, make anything more than a 2-3 level diffence earn them a "dishonour" mark. enough marks earn you a temporary vacation from GW.
there's more, but i've already produced a great wall of text, so i'll leave off here.
i am looking forward to GW2, but i'm afraid they're going to totally mess up a good thing they've already got.

1. Titles that are required to get through the game. Yes, I'm pointing at you, Luxon-Kurzick faction and Sunspear points! It's just a huge lull in the game, having to stop the storyline so I can repeatedly go kill monsters or do stupid arenas.
2. Locked gates. Oh God, how I hated those gates! I loved the freedom of exploration!
3. The inability to un-capitalize certain letters in your name. Like, how every word had to be capitalized. This was a pet peeve of mine. I don't like seeing my articles and prepositions capitalized!

Leave titles; they're fine as long as they are purely aesthetic. Just remove all ties to skills, armor, health, damage, whatever; it just opens the floodgates to stuff like UB.

I dont want PVE ruining nerfs. Actually, I dont want Izzy balancing skills. He deserves sacking along with the people that came up with loot scaling, hero caps, and that retarded dishonour system.
Oh, I dont want dishonour either.
Titles can actually be good if they are done right. Lotro does titles perfectly. GW fails by making them grind fests.

I'd rather not have a well established market of 2 years crash after major exploitations and making some of the rarest items in the game the most common items in the game. ie Dwarven axe, used to go for hundreds of ectos is now a collector skin.
